How about Troy Murphy?

Anyone think we might see Murphy back in a Pacer Uniform? He is a free agent, if we could resign him at a reasonable price I'd like to see him come back. I'm thinking 3 yrs $3-4 million per yr with a 4th team option.

Some options could be on this list,
Glen Davis
Carl Landry
Kwame Brown
Brandan Wright

Also Marc Gasol is a restricted free agent, when the lockout endes we should look at him a deal might be doable but I'm betting he costs too much.

**** no!

I would never get season tickets again if i ever have to see that piece of crap in a pacers uni again. He is god awful and a negative value to his team. He doesn't play a lick of defense and is opposite to smash mouth. He and Dunleavy ruined this team 4 me 4 so many years please no. I wouldn't wish Murphy on my worst enemy.

I like a healthy Dunleavy but have no use for Murphy.

That's a foul. No wait, that's a flagrant foul.

How about nooooooooooooooooooooo.

He with Dunleavy at SG was one of the reasons why I couldn't identify myself with the Pacers for years.

He makes Matt Bonner look like an all defensive team player of the year.

Too much trauma...

Honestly sir, I don't like seeing any of these guys from that 'era' of the Pacers. They represent a bad time for the team and us as fans. Duns, Murphy, TJ, etc. I don't wanna see any of them in a Pacers uni again.

Murphy isn't a good fit. Our frontcourt needs a badass intimidator type. Someone who does the kinds of things that Dale Davis used to do. Murphy might play the same position, but he is not that kind of player.

I wouldn't mind. It's always nice to have a guy who can shoot, and it's always nice to have 5 more fouls to throw a Dwight, etc. To get both in one guy ain't so bad at all.

Besides, it's not like he'd get a starting role.

Of the guys listed I'd take Kwame. I would worry about him and Lance in the same locker room though.
Kwame is a 6'11" guy with athleticism and can block. He fits a need, especially if Jeff scoots.
A mature Kwame (or better) and a healthy David west makes us a pretty strong team.

As for Troy... He has oft in the past inspired in me rants similar to the previous one by netsfornets. I'll refrain for the moment and rest secure in my faith that such buffoonery shall not, anytime soon, overcome the reason our front office.

NO.

The only way I would accept him on the team is if he received 12-15 minutes tops (and a whole lot of DNP-CDs) and got paid like a guy who received less time than that. Even then I wouldn't be too happy with him being back.

I wouldnt even consider Murph; simply because he doesnt fit the description of the hard-nosed smash mouth mold. The Pacers should try to resign McBob tho hes better than Murph with potential to keep improving he's still only 24.

Are you Frank Vogel? Talking 'bout old school, smash mouth, physical, rough and tumble, schoolyard justice, grind it out, basketball. :P

No im not Vogel but I agree 100% with his hard nosed philosophy. The 2004 pacers had this style and wouldve won the NBA championship had O'Neal not messed up his knee in game 4. of the semis against Detroit. Im ready to see the Pacers get back to physical kick a$$ basketball.

Where is our DD?

Delembert or Okafor?
Jefferson? if he'd lose twenty lbs. and... naw, he's not gonna change.
Biyambo? maybe, maybe not.
Horford... cant get
Favors...ditto
Udoh?
Kenyon Martin... a few years ago.

It's not Nene but he brings so much all-around who's better?

West AND Delembert would be Sweet!
But it would make TH almost superfluous, and I like him a lot.

I say spend it on Nene. He'd help us more than anyone we can get without trading Danny Granger.

That's worth some cash.

Make contract short as possible, or with a team option, or incentives in the out years.
Front loaded, cheaper later.

Why would you worry?

I've heard he wants to stay in Charlotte though.

No, please god no. I seriously think he's done, I just don't see it in him to be as good as he was a few years back. I saw we're good enough with Psycho T.
