Roy's return to the Fieldhouse has put the most faith in me thus far. He talked about working outside of his comfort zone with Duncan and gaining 15 pounds of muscle, so he continues to go in the exact direction that we need him to.

Re: Roy Hibbert
I'm going to say he shoots over 50% this year. 15pts/9rebs/3asts/2blks Those are all-star numbers. He can do it if he plays 30mpg and raises his FG%. Possibly 17/10/3/3 if he really breaks out. Those would be crazy numbers. Lets try for 15 and 9 first.

Eh, I'm not going to expect much from Hibbert. I do recall him supposedly gaining 15lbs of muscle last year also. I will be rooting for him to do well, however.

What? I remember him shedding 25 pounds. Don't remember him putting much weight back on during the season tho.

I always knew Tim Duncan wasn't really a nice person. Look at how he's stepping on Nene's toes.

Re: Roy Hibbert
Yeah, Hibbert trimmed fat before last season, and added muscle before this one. The fat slowed him down. The muscle will help him keep be stronger in the post while retaining most of his agility.

Re: Roy Hibbert
big roy will break out in a big way this year.
Remember the first month of last season? He looked like a full blown all-star. The big adjustment opponents made was to push him out of position early, which they could do because he got so skinny over the offseason.
Now that the fat is gone, he supposedly has added 15-20 lbs of muscle, which shuld allow him to stay quick, but hold position but better.
I thin khe can do 17-9 this year. He's breaking out in a big way.

I'm not so sure if the points will be there if we add a Nene, West, or Millsap. Or if DC is our pg. Roy won't get many easy looks with him at point and Roy will also be relied on to facilitate the offense. It's his efficiency that will make a huge impact. He can get the 17 IMO, but it will be his efficiency that will make the biggest difference.

Re: Roy Hibbert
Roy is getting there step by step. We could be frustrated again this year if he wouldn't have a breakout season but he is working his ass off, it is clear that he wants to improve. That's a good thing.

Re: Roy Hibbert
Depends on what offense we can put around him. It's nice to facilitate the offense through him, but hopefully Hill and whomever else ends up here can take some pressure off him so he doesn't have to force so much.
I'm looking for big things defensively from him though.

Re: Roy Hibbert
Would rather see some fast things from him.
As years will slip bye, I could definitely see him figuring out how he can make the most out of his body.
He is a smart and terrific person.
I retract my earlier statement. It would sadden me if they traded him.
Still think he should be the one backing up Hansbrough or the Nenes and Chandlers of this world.
Just like finishing off games is a bit too hectic for him to really make an impact.
