Well, i don't know. Doesn't matter if he comes cheap, as long as he's healthy. I'd honestly prefer younger, more physical guys, someone who could also play SF.

Although George is starting SG, he's the 2nd option at SF. Also, both Jones and Rush could play SF. I don't think that is the position the Pacers lack of.
The Pacers went after Mayo, Crawford and now Redd because Larry Bird wants to add a player who can creat his own shot, and make the roster deeper.
I don't care much about whether Redd is able to score like he used to be. What I care the most is the chemistry in the lockeroom. If he could share his experience and teach George, Rush and Stephenson how to shoot like Ray Allen used to teach him, fine!

I'll be ok with Redd as long as he's cheap and short term on not garranteed for more than one year. I like his former Bucks Teammate CDR aka Chris Douglas Roberts. We really don't have to do anything at SG with George Hill, Paul George, Rush and Jones able to play at SG by my count that's 4 guys who can give us minutes we're just looking for depth at the SG. And I'm thinking Lance and AJ can play the SG if needed.
I hear that the Jazz are wanting to move Raja Bell, he's on a 2 yr deal at $3.2 and $3.8 million per he's a decent defender and a solid overal vet at SG, how about we offer a 2nd for Bell.

I'd be surprised if Redd has anything much left. But he would surely come cheap. I guess it doesn't hurt to talk to him.

I think we want scoring, so Bell isn't in the equation. Hard to see Redd really contributing.

If Redd can still knock down the 3 with any regularity, then his skill-set is something we could continue to use. The rest of our SG's are definitely more of the "attack the basket" kind of players (I'm kind of ignoring Brandon Rush), so Redd's long-range consistency would be helpful off the bench in situations.

Might as well give him a try. Havent heard of any other teams being interested in him so he should come pretty cheap.

I see him as a solid locker room vet, and that is just about it.
He would be a situational player, if at all.

You can never have enough shooters. Assuming the contract wouldn't be worth a whole lot...sure why not? Seems like a low risk high reward type of deal.

I guess we traded Rush for Amundson.
I'd rather see Lance get Rush's minutes.
He looked good on defense Friday. Hopefully he gets minutes with Paul on Tuesday instead of with Dahntay.

Looks like that really did happen. Well, we don't need another body up front anymore in case Foster's health is in question. Amundson is a pretty unremarkable energy guy. He only played 46 games for the Warriors last season. I would like to see Lance and Dahntay get some burn in Rush's stead.
Meanwhile, New York is looking at Redd.

New York can have him. They should have kept Shawne Williams instead.

Link for the Rush trade?
Heh, if it's true, I like it. The Pacers could use Amundsen, especially with Pendergraph's health a question mark. Not a bad return for a guy the Pacers were just looking to get rid of.

I would have rather seen us resign McBob.
