recently a number of point guards have gone high in the draft and been immediate stars. that's very much abnormal. most point guards take years to be good. even great ones like Gary Payton can look like complete busts in their early years. centers take time too but teams usually stick with them, but point guards have often bounced around, gone to the CBA, Europe, etc and then after four or five years emerged. there is no position where experienced matters as much as it does at point. these wonder-kinds who make it on pure talent immediately have never been the norm.

to my eyes Collison improved greatly from last year to this and improvement is what I'm looking for. we all saw with Tinsley what happens when a talented point guard doesn't improve. I see no point in knocking Collison as long as he keeps growing. so far this year I like what I see.

Good win, too bad I missed the game :(

But yeah, I don't hate Collison, but his passing is iffy and he blows some really easy shots he should be making. I'd really like to see Lance get more PT.

Oh and I've seen George Hill make like one jumpshot in the 2 preseason and regular season games, he's been ice cold.

There was a correlation between the first and second half for Derozan. In the first half when we made him work on defensive end, he was ineffective on the offensive end. In the second half George didn't get the looks and it freed Derozan to focus on offense.
