It's nice to beat a team like LA because suddenly there are a bunch of writes putting out articles about the Pacers. I was just reading
this article about Bryan Shaw returning to LA and I noticed this little nugget of info at the end:
[Phil] Jackson also has taken to watching Indiana play during his retirement and "chiming in from time to time" to tell Shaw what he sees.
Never hurts to have an extra set of eyes.

Daaaaaaaang. Pacers finally getting a little 'schpect around here. (Although on the front page of NBA.com last night, despite the fact that the Pacers beat the Lakers was the top story, all of the video clips were pro-Lakers highlights. Whatever. We'll just use the scoreboard as a reminder.)

I gotta tell you, it's interesting how much Indy skates under the radar. Here in Cleveland, I listen to the local sports radio guys somewhat often as I'm driving. The other day, they ran through the Eastern Conference, listing the bad teams, then the good teams. The ONLY team they didn't mention in either lists was Indiana. Just never came up.

I'm okay with that, too.

Let's hope Vogel isn't asking Jim O'Brien for advice.
