For anyone who is watching is there a reason Paul George has only played 18 mins through 3 quarters?

Is he injured or just a rotation consequence?

Nothing wrong with him. George Hill is just going off.

Collison has only played 20, West 22 and Granger 24.

Also, the Sixers just inbounded with .3 seconds on the shot clock and made it. No way does someone have time to catch a ball, jump and release it in .3 seconds. That's some crap that the basket counted. You'd have to tip it to get a shot off with .3 seconds.

George Hill is raining 3's. Just hit back to back. One was from way downtown

Btw, hopefully Paul George isn't sitting because he's gonna be traded. A lot of people around here will have a major meltdown. I don't see why they'd trade him but it is kind of weird he has only played a quarter and a half. George Hill is going off but AJ Price and Dahntay Jones have gotten a fair amount of playing time. So it's odd that he didn't get any of their minutes.

big win. do you suppose leaving the girl's out of the thread helps? seems like we haven't won with them in a while.

HAHA, even if I was superstitious I'd be silly to say yes :)

Larry Bird is not that stupid, plus if PG is involved he wouldn't have played at all.

I think it's a situation where GHill got extremely hot and we built such a huge lead that it wasn't necessary for PG to reenter.

Regardless, if GHill is hot he needs to be substituted for DC, not PG. Vogel's disturbing substitution pattern amounts to AJPrice or DC on the floor with Hill at the expense of Paul. Bird should demand Vogel play only one small guard at a time.

Those guys respect each other too much to tell each other how to do their jobs. Collison has sat when he hasn't done well and Hill was available.

Also, Hill plays better as a 2, when he's allowed to score and find shots rather than other teammates, I feel (so does Vogel).

PG got sick mid-game it seems, which is why he sat. Calm down, people.

He's as much of a point guard (more than in my opinion) as Collison is.

Not true. Collison has been playing 29.5 minutes per game over the last six games.

His numbers in those 6 games - 6.5points/3.5assists/2.2turnovers and shooting 34% from the floor.

He could average 0ppg/0apg/10tos and nobody would have a problem with him starting it seems.

Does nobody else not notice this?

One of the best wins of the season. Our bench goes from one of the weaker ones in the league to being capable of hammering philly's when George Hill plays.

Damn. Normally I defend Collison when you attack him, but... damn.

I think George Hill could be very effective in our offense (ieJJack), which doesn't require a true distributor.

It comes down to lineups:
A. B.
Hibbert ------------ Hibbert
West ------------ West
Granger ------------- Granger
PGeorge ------------- GHill
Hill or DC ------------- DC or Price

A>>B....... B is the reason Vogel pulls PG like clockwork. Just a little over midway through the 1st&3rd quarter he will always get pulled. No matter if Danny is 1-9 or DC is playing like a chump, it's always PG that gets replaced.

As a Sixers fan, just want to stop by to give your team some props. I don't know how often they play that well but if they can do that consistently, I honestly think they can take any team in the playoffs out. As I said in our game thread, they just keep coming at you off the bench and I think right now have a more solid starting 5 than us. Might be different with Hawes fully healthy, and I was thinking after picking up Sam Young we might get a leg up, but then you go and get Barbosa for even more energy and fire-power off the bench. I hate your team in a rival sense but really hope, and believe you can, knock off the Bulls and/or Heat in the playoffs and love how the team is built.

thanks. the Heat and Magic have given us fits but we're not afraid of Chicago. best result for us would be to be on Chicago's side of the playoff bracket.

We can make the Heat sweat with George Hill. The most recent overtime loss in Miami was without George Hill (The Heat lost Mike Miller, but he's not as important). Chicago also showed a solid way to beat the Heat. Anything's possible in the NBA.
