Many people have been saying that George Hill should be our starting point guard. Since the addition of Barbosa, most of Hill's playing time has been at PG. I was curious to see how the numbers stack up with Hill and Collison in those 10 games. Here are the results.

MPG
Hill...22.98
Collison...30.18

PPG
Hill....7.8
Collison....8.8

RPG
Hill....2.9
Collison....3.2

APG
Hill....3.3
Collison....4.9

Turnovers per game
Hill....1.3
Collison....1.6

FG%
Hill....46.6%
Collison....45.3%

3 Pt%
Hill....38.5%
Collison....27.8%

FT%
Hill....93.3%
Collison....78.9%

Total Steals
Hill...6
Collison...10

Based on these stats, it appears like Hill and Collison are fairly even.

If you look at it on a purely statistical basis, George Hill is putting up similar or better stats in significantly less playing time (75% of the minutes that Collison is playing).

It seems like the team responds better to George Hill in a half-court set, and plays well with Collison in an uptempo, up and down the court offensive system.

Collison does dominate the plus/minus stats but that could be because he's playing with better players. interestingly the top 5 player combo that includes Hill is when he and DC play together with PG sitting, but that's a distant second to when PG plays and GH sits.
