The Cavs have been tough for us. If we don't command the game Friday I'm going to be concerned.

this is not a performance from a team looking to go "deep" in the playoffs

I love George Hill, but I do think Collison has a better FT percentage in crunch time.

Well, not the best of games for us but we pulled it out in the end. Against a better opponent could have been a very different outcome.
Looking at the box score, you'd love Hill, then sight at the free throws and then love him again (and Granger comes through in crunch time again).

leaving the game Monday I said, "sometimes you can't give a game away." we really proved that again tonight.

Not a great win by any means, but that's our 17th on the road which locks up a winning road record. That's a nice accomplishment. Good teams can win on the road. The only teams with winning road records are Chicago, Miami, Orlando, OKC, San Antonio and us. The Nugs are at an even .500. The Clips are at .500 too and making it interesting in Oklahoma City right now. Anyway, those are all the teams that are legit contenders. I don't think we're contenders, but we're making progress.

It was not a pretty win but in the end we won and that's what matters.

If anything those last games show us that we need Darren Collison.

Once we get DWill we'll be contenders.

I believe (I could be wrong) if we win Friday we will clinch playoffs.

I know if I was in George Hills place, I would have less confidence as well.
He has to play superb to not get substituted. Collison on the other hand has to play extremely bad to get substituted. If anything, he gets more minutes when he plays bad to let him know coach has so much confidence in him. It works, but don't be surprised if other players get less confidence that way.
Paul George probably experiences the same, but he is just a 21 year old sophomore not demanding his minutes yet.
If we had a better backup center, I would put West in the same position. No matter how good he plays, he gets substituted first. If he wouldn't get his minutes at center and wasn't such a great personality, he would be as pissed as he is after losing a game, watching players doing worse still on the court while he sits on the bench.

Collison plays 8 more minutes than Hill. Ok, he is a better fit with the rest of our starting squad but he is not the better player.
