THE SKINNY


The number three seed Pacers play host to the number six seed Magic in the opening round of the playoffs. The Pacers look to assert their dominance and gain some momentum with which to face the next opponent. The Magic are trying to keep their hopes alive and prove that they are a strong team even without the presence of a Superman. These two teams are coming into the playoffs seemingly headed in opposite directions. However, the Magic were 3-1 against the Pacers during the regular season.

Didn't defend too well against Nelson, and wasn't hitting shots.

Didn't get his hands on the ball as much, resulting in a smoother Orlando offense.

Quick note about the last game. On the Collison two-point attempt, the play wasn't his fault. West was supposed to screen for George for a 3, but wasn't there and George didn't get open and Collison had to check to a long two. That's not good news or bad news.

The fact the ball was in his hands at that point of the game is the issue. He shouldn't touch the ball or even be on the court.

If you're going to take this stance every time Collison gets mentioned, then this board can't have a reasonable discussion about personnel. It's not constructive and nobody likes it.

This is not about expressing an opinion. It's about derailing every goddamn thread that has the word Collison in it, and that's against the rules.

If we don't win this game, I'm going to blame the girls in the OP

As long as the Pacers don't let up over the next 38:16 minutes, we should win.

Dammit. Our bench needs to figure some stuff out.

Maybe, Dahntay Jones in the corner and on defense.

In the last half of the season it seemed that our second half defence has been solid and turning it up and we have been clutch in the 4th quarter (last game v magic as an exception). Let's hope for this again now, as it is a little concerning at the moment.

I wonder if our team has practiced against pick and rolls.

Their pick-and-roll leaves all of our players out of position. If we could stay home instead of switching, we will give up jumpshots, but I'd rather give up jumpshots than drives, no matter how good at shooting these guys are.

Lets go Pacers, lets go.

Magic with 17 3's already. They live and die by them, so just play tight defense and this series could be tied at 1-1.
