Heat Floppin

Post#1 » by granger05 » Fri May 11, 2012 3:52 pm

Wiretap article with Vogel saying the Heat flop all the time. I like this. Frank has been a good coach so far and the players really seem to like him. I like that he's already working over officials. Sadly, that's part of the job and I'm happy that he realizes that.

We'll have Dahntay and Hansbrough and Lou enforce with their own flops.

Well, if they're going to flop, make 'em flop hard. That's what Lou, Hans, and Dahntay should be doing.

Get ready for some serious flopping and an incredible amount of complaining from Wade and Lebron. And get ready for that all to be rewarded by the refs.

I have to say, I do like Vogel putting some attention on the flopping before it even starts. Could be a smart move.

100%.

He's drawing attention before he's down in the series. Heat could sweep, Pacers couldn't. Pacers can compete and beat them though. Let the world know before you're down 2-0 if it comes down to that. Nobody is doubting Miami's talent. Their flopping is bad though.

Call the flopping out prior to potentially being down in the series before you call it out. Smart move imo.

And for the Pacer fans calling out Reggie... shame on you.

He kicked his leg out to draw contact but at least it was a foul(and there was contact). Are you seeing these non-fouls and how they react like they were socked in the mouth? Pure trash.

Might have been on PD(and I got caught up in the moment when I said it here).

I saw a few Pacer fans calling out Reggie for flopping. smh

At least there was contact(he may have initiated it :)) but as other people had mentioned, he was small and lanky. The way Lebron(6'8 260lbs) acts like he got pushed around is stupid, especially when you see nothing happened. Bosh and Wade flop too. The worst part is they not only fake but when you watch the replays, the weren't even touched and their reaction is late.

I'm not saying refs shouldn't call fouls but Heat players draw fouls by acting. Worst part, the flop by Lebron and Bosh are the same mannerisms. They lean back and fall over. They've taken acting classes for this garbage. Their reaction to it is just late and horrible.

Lebron stumbling away from Hayward not only drew free throws but extra free throws because Carlisle complained. Heat players have no shame.

I'm not a regular season Pacers fan but I've really liked how much of a "team" the Pacers have played like this year. And since they're playing Miami they're now my 2nd favorite team in the league haha. I hope you fans bring a lot of posters to the game like Most Valuable Flopper and stupid stuff like that, hopefully the refs get the memo and don't reward the big 3's acting job's. I swear these guys must practice flopping in practice or something.

I would love to see some of these flops on the screen at the fieldhouse.

When 1 of Miami's players flop the entire Pacers team should hit the deck including the bench and coaches. With the games being on national TV the refs would be forced to make better calls or be laughed out of the league.

That would be hilarious, but the only thing that's going to stop flopping is if the refs stop calling it. Charles Barkley suggested the league step in and fine players for flopping, at the time I laughed but it doesn't seem so far fetched now.

Cant you picture Bosh/James/Wade doing improve in their spare time in order to be able to pull off this type of crap. I remember the old school 'floppers' at least made it look realistic lol.

I remember hearing about Vogel being fined and when I just read the comments, it's got me a little bit confused. I suppose what he said was wrong in some form, but it's not like he specifically called out a crew on a certain game.. he just stated facts. If he said it AFTER a game I think the fine would be a lot more warranted.

I never post on other teams boards, but I'm a Miami hater. Nothing bothered me more (yes unfortunately I'm from Toronto and a Raptors fan) than when I walked into the Air Canada Centre the beginning of last season and say T-Shits saying 'I'm A HEAT Fan' for sale in the kiosks. I just get the feeling of them having some superiority complex before they've done anything.

The Pacers were a scrappy team from what I saw, I was at opening night and when Toronto played Indy they were probably the toughest games overall I saw all year. They've earned everything instead of feeling it's their inherent right to be there. Hopfully us giving you Barbosa for a bag of nails helps ya out for this series too
