Devon Harris is 6'3" 190 lbs.

He is 29 years old and played in the 2008-09 all-star game.

He will make $8.5 million next year, which is the final year of his contract.

He was part of the deal that sent Devon Williams to the Nets.

He averaged 27.6 mpg, 11.3 ppg, 5.0 apg and 1.9 TOV this season, which are pretty close to his career averages.

In 2010-11 before he was traded to Utah, his averages with the Nets were 31.9 mpg, 15.0 ppg, 7.6 apg and 2.9 TOV.

I thought I heard that Utah was not real happy with him and there were rumors that they were willing to trade him.

That is about all of the information I know about him.

Now for my questions. Would the Pacers be interested in obtaining him?

Is there any other information (pro or con) that anyone would like to add?

We have to be realistic.

Deron Williams is either going to sign with the Nets, where he can make a ton of money, or he is going back to his hometown of Dallas, where he has a chance at a championship.

Steve Nash loves Phoenix and will most likely stay there. IF he does decide to leave, in my opinion, he will go to the Lakers. In any case, there is a 99.8% chance that he will not come to Indiana.

The Pacers are either going to have to keep our current PG's, sign a FA or make a trade. After Williams and Nash, there are not any FA PG's that are better than what we have.

DCollisons numbers are very similar. we'd be waisting our money.

It's true that Collison's numbers are similar, but Harris is bigger and a former all-star.

I'm not saying we should get Harris, I'm just throwing the idea out there. With Harris, Granger, West and Hibbert we would have 4 former all-stars in the starting line-up. That kind of intrigues me.

What is it that the investment banker says? "Past performance is not guarantee of what should be expected in the future." Harris hasn't approached the production he enjoyed during his all star year. I"ve also read from time to time that as point guards go he isn't user friendly. I don't see him as an improvment over Hill and Collison. If the Pacers were to spend this kind of money on a veteran addition a solid third big to spell Hibbert and West would be a much better investment.

I don't see Harris as an upgrade over George Hill. we've got good young point guards who should improve with time. I can see how a very veteran point guard might be a better third point guard for us than AJ Price but that's not Harris.

Agreed, though I would rather have Lin than Sessions (dude looked lost in his first playoffs, but Lin doesn't have that experience). I'm thinking Dragic is the best bang for our buck. Low risk high reward imo. Really liked when he took over for Lowry.

At this point, I don't see what he brings as an improvement over Hill and Collison.

He's regressed if anything since entering the league. I'd rather go all-in for Steve Nash or maybe try to scoop up Dragic on the cheap. I don't think Deron Williams is realistic either, even though it would be ideal.
