Does anyone know anything about this guy? Like

What is the status of his contract? I recall he could have come over last season but I imagine the lock out caused him to line something up in Europe. Never heard for how long.

How did he play last year?
Is he still a viable NBA backup 5?

Seems to me his availability would have some influence on our direction in this draft.

He's playing in Turkey, with two years remaining on that contract. I'm assuming like most NBA prospects, he has an NBA buyout clause.

He is 7'1-7'2 and around 220-245, so I think he's a viable backup 5 just because you rarely see that kind of size these days.

DraftExpress has a complete listing of his stats:

Personally, I'd rather have Fesenko back than Barac because he's already proven he can be a defensive presence in the NBA. But neither should be the answer on a contending team as the backup 5.

Lorbek was the better of our two overseas big men prospects, but we gave his rights to San Antonio in the Hill/Leonard trade. And there's talk of him joining the Spurs for next season. The Spurs front office is truly the best in the business.

The Spurs are ran by genuises. Next season they'll have Nando de Colo.

I wonder if we'll ever see him in a Pacers' uniform at this point.
