ESPN's Top 500 Players - Pacers Rankings (David West added)

As of this posting (the evening of 9/17/2012), ESPN has made it up to 51, going backwards from 500.

Here's where our Pacers are so far, their rankings, plus I included the 3 above and 3 below them for a little perspective. I'll post the rest as they come.

Thoughts?

56 - David West (above Marcin Gortat, Andrea Bargnani, and David Lee --- below John Wall, Danilo Gallinari, and Paul Millsap)

75 - Paul George (above Kevin Martin, JaVale McGee, and Jeremy Lin --- below Anderson Varejao, Jrue Holiday, and Ersan Ilyasova)

87 - George Hill (above Lou Williams, Derrick Favors and O.J. Mayo --- below DeAndre Jordan, Elton Brand, and Kris Humphries)

147 - D.J. Augustin (above Marvin Williams, Tiago Splitter, and Isaiah Thomas --- below Ramon Sessions, Brandon Roy, and Tayshaun Prince)

I know Plumlee and Johnson haven't played a game yet... but being behind Pendergraph? Eh.

And Hansbrough is really high for his skill level.

if you figure the top 150 are starters and the next 100 are contributing role players, we're doing okay, I hope our draftees are underrated but I'm not sure how much playing time they'll get as rookies and if they sit they won't move up the chart yet. I'm encouraged that we've got 80 players to go and four of our starters haven't hit the list yet. looks like George, Hibbert, West, and Granger are getting some respect.

First of all, nice to see all our starters in the top 100.

But, uh... I'm assuming Ian Mahinmi is not in the top 80, and you just left him out by accident, right?

Also, I guarantee Augustin will jump at least 20 spots next year.

Sorry, don't know how I missed him. I searched "Pacers" on each page and somehow whiffed on Mahinmi. He's in there now at 251.
