Lou Signs With MIN/Appreciation Thread

Post#1 » by SuperReggie31 » Tue Sep 25, 2012 1:34 pm

Fan Favorite Lou Amundson signed a one year deal with the Minnesota T-Wolves for $1.07 million.

Stats: 3.6 ppg, 3.7 rpg, .498 FG%

Even though his stats do not stand out and was only here for a year, I would like to thank him for his professionalism and hard-work attitude.

Thanks Loooooouuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!

agreed. he played almost a whole year out of position and gave it everything he had. we play them twice in the preseason. I'm going to miss the home game on the 12th as we'll be in Denver for a weekend with grandchildren but those of you who can make the game, be sure to give him a round of Lou's when he is introduced.

This is the guy i am going to miss the most from last year's team. He did his best at all times, even if some of those things are beyond his reach, he still exerted decent effort.
Guess we'll see you later, Lou. Thanks for the wonderful run.

It's hard to find guys like this anymore. He gave his heart and soul on the court every game, even if he was at a disadvantage every time he stepped on the court.

It was great to see him give the rest of our players energy, and he was a great guy to have around.

Well, we had already committed the guaranteed money to Pendergraph. Ultimately, that either/or decision simply wasn't ours to make.

Can't hate on a guy who gives his all each and every second he's on the court. Wish him nothing but the best of luck in Minnesota.

As a Wolves fan, I've liked what I've seen so far on YouTube. I think he'll become a fan favorite for us as well.

^^ He's a fan favorite whenever he goes. Hope he's going to hear the loudest Louuuuuuu ever in Minny.

And as long as you will not force him to play center, he'd be a scrappy good back-up PF.

I'm not sure what you were expecting from him other than pure hustle, and scrappy play at the big positions. He was great at that, and he gave it his all every minute out there. Good guy. Can't ask for much more from him.

He was a nice regular season player for us where his energy and hard work really gave a boost to the team during the daily grind.

However, both he and Tyler could no longer co-exist, and the front office picked Tyler.

I think that is fair. as the season wore on, it became clear that they simply were too much alike and shouldn't have been on the court at the same time. Tyler has the guaranteed contract and the bigger upside.

Id rather have some one skilled than someone just running around "creating" energy for the team.

Yeah, but sometimes energy actually contributes. Sometimes the skilled guy can't produce, or can't get his head in the game. I mean, we traded the skilled player in Brandon Rush for the energy guy in Lou. Rush simply wasn't going to put it together here, but Lou was able to contribute and help us out.

I really can't tell if this is sarcasm or just stupidity. We would've been in a huge hole without him. We had no other back up center, and he filled in well for his physical attributes.
