Sixers fan here, just curious. I was a big Stephenson fan in h.s watched him live a bunch of times, thought he would destroy at Cincy. Took a path that he wasn't expecting to the NBA and for a while I thought he'd be buried as a career 12th man. Seems like he's adjusting well to a bench role this season had 2 pretty decent games.

Dont get to watch many Pacers games, so what are some of his strengths and weakness like a mini scouting report. Has he improved defensively? Could he be a potential starter down the road

He's always been a great project player. He played real well in summer league, he's a good article by a local reporter on his summer league play- http://www.foxsportsindiana.com/07/16/1 ... eedID=4106

This season, i think we all knew Lance would get a good look, but with the injury to Granger, and the lack of success by Green, we've seen much more of Lance then i think they had originally planned for this early in the season. But he has played real well the last 2 games. Love the energy he brings. When he gets the ball in the open court, he's one of the scarier players in the league. He always plays full speed. At times he's too careless i think, but i think that's inexperience.

If Green continue's to struggle, I could defiantly see Lance get a few starts along side George and Hill in the backcourt. But, down the road, i do think Lance can be a regular starter in the league. He's only 22.

Here's a good article on his play so far this season - http://www.nba.com/pacers/news/stephens ... mprovement

Lance has grown to be a humble person off the court. I think he realizes what is a stake here, when initially his fate was only guaranteed for two years, now he wants more and he is smart enough to get it.

It doesn't hurt that he has immense skills and competes like a bull with his ass on fire. The mental picture I get from watching him is that he is not afraid to bleed. During the home opener against Sacramento, Demarcus put his elbow right at the level of Lance's head, then promptly Demarcus lay on his back after Lance threw him to the floor.

Thanks to Bird, Lance Stephenson will make it in the NBA instead of China.

Interesting "stat" from tonight:

Stephenson played more (27:57) then both Gerald Green and DJ Augustin combined (27:26).

Pretty clutch 3-pointer by Stephenson too in the 4th. He was the only bucket scored by us in during the Hawks' 23-3 run to end the game.

He didn't box out for crap. I know they ran drills for that in the preseason and he did fine in those. It is true he's been a great sparkplug. He can score and his shooting's improved dramatically. He's still inexperienced, but George could learn a bit from his lack of hesitation.

He played pretty well in the 4rd quarter, too. I was actually impressed.
