Pacers are going no where without true point guard. I would trade Hibbert for Rondo

It would take a lot more than Hibbert to get Rondo at this point unfortunately.

If you do something like that, sure we have Rondo, but we lose a key starter and as we have all seen this season, our bench is bad. There's no way anyone on our bench could fill a role for one of our starters.

Not exactly a "true point guard" as I assume you're talking about somewhat of a star, and i know i posted this somewhere else before, but i'll post it again, how much better of a team would we be today if we still had AJ Price on this roster? He looks fantastic in Washington DC. Not a player to build a team around, but a solid role player that can give you solid starting minutes if asked.

I would trade anyone on our team INCLUDING PG for Kyrie Irving.

The better George Hill plays, the more of a likelihood he's packaged in a deadline deal for an upgrade at the position. His contract makes things super difficult though, one of the worst in the league...

There are many contracts in the league that are far worse than Hill's.

And it is very early to say that the Pacers are overpaying him. He has nowhere to go but up, and by the way he plays, it seems like he is yet to reach his ceiling. He isn't a big name player but he could be very efficient and consistent in time.

And i personally think a George Hill trade is unlikely.

I don't see George Hill as the problem or even very high on the list of problems to be solved for the Pacers.

People neglect the fact the George Hill is probably one of the 5 best defensive point guards in the NBA. HIs ability to make it more difficult for opposing point guards to come off screens has a lot to do with the Pacers success defensively this year. Doesn't anyone remember how frustrating to watch Darren Collison or TJ Ford defend?

The offense will get better when Roy Hibbert comes out of his funk, Danny Granger returns and when we see Paul George's offensive game improve. All of which will happen in due time I think.

Meaningfully improving the point guard position would likely require (at a minium) including both George Hill and another starting player in the trade. After which, its hard to see the team in better than it is now.

I'm happy with George Hill. A bit overpaid, but who isn't?
He isn't elite at something but he doesn't have a real weakness to his game either. Very solid overall.

I believe the Pacers can be a much better offensive team if they can get a SG who can create for himself and others.

George Hill is most definitely not the problem. He's been playing good, and I think the problem stems from not having Granger and having no bench to speak of, besides Mahinmi. Green needs to produce and so does Young so that we have a scoring presence on the bench.

We wouldn't be able to utilize a true point guard, anyway. What we need is an offense that works. I don't care how this offense works. I just want an above average offense.

The Spurs don't have a true point guard but they have a damn good offense.

We just need Granger back, really.

I have to agree,people forget Hill was hurt during preseason,so he's a little behind,but he'll come around in time,I just feel our biggest issue is to many guys shooting outside shots that shouldnt be,and Hibbert being a 7'2 center shooting 39% dont help,he has to play more of a power game than he's use to,to help our team win.

AJ is having a good season, shows what regular playing time can do for a guy.
