Injury Updates

Let's keep a thread for injury updates.

Speaking of injuries, what happened to Lance Stephenson? He fell awkwardly on his knee and sat out the rest of the game.

I hope it's not a torn ACL. Looking back at the time when Rondo tore his ACL, it hardly looked like he injured his knee as he sort of walked it off and didn't look like he was in pain. Given how the season has gone with many good teams losing key players to injuries I wouldn't be surprised if more injuries happened.

Not sure about Lance, but back to Hill... with how serious leagues are getting about concussions, i don't see how Hill plays on Saturday. To me, it seems nearly impossible. Does anybody know what the NBA protocol is for players who fail the concussion test?

the protocol is outlined in an article in today's star. it's a lot more than taking the same test again and passing it. doesn't look good to me. remember Hansbrough and Collie.

Howard Beck ‏@HowardBeckNYT

Quick note on George Hill and NBA concussion protocols: There is NO specific timeline for a player returning from concussion. Case by case.

From Howard Beck. A little bit of hope. I still doubt he plays to be honest.

The NBA and Stern will do what they can to ensure Hill doesn't play for the rest of the series so the Knicks win.

Why?
Because the Heat will have an easier time beating the ("live and die by the 3") Knicks then the (#1 rated defense) Pacers.

Book it.
