Well managed team

There's an article on Grantland about Kawai Leonard, link, but it's really about the gap between well-managed and poorly-managed NBA teams. The Pacers and Vogel get some props for being a team that gets the best out of whatever they have. Back in the pre-brawl days it always seemed like the Pacers were a team where I could trust the management to make the right call on FAs and draft picks. I still don't agree with every decision at the time, but it's trending back in that direction.

I am a believer that the most stable and best run front offices are able to build the best teams. Its an area where teams feel they can save some money at and still win because they can draft a high pick or something. Which is why it makes me happy that the Pacers are now finally really well run. And which is why i hope they add Reggie Miller in some capacity and even have Larry Bird return.
