Say what you will about Lance Stephenson and his loose head, but you can't deny his competitor passion. Just a few days after the season, Lance is back on the court working on his game. This dude wants to be great.

Yeah, I had read somewhere he was staying in Indy all summer to work on his game. Good to hear.

As much as I love the sound of that; it concerns me because the guy has so much skill; and will be so valuable to the team with Granger likely leaving. 2014 is going to be a tough offseason to be a Pacers fan if we lose him and Granger. I think about how Toronto overpaid for Landry Fields and it just makes me think that someone will definitely throw an amount at him that the team doesnt match. I would consider trading George Hill if necessary before I would lose Stephenson. G. Hill was a bit overpaid; and West will likely get a big contract this offseason; With Hibbert & George on the Max something will have to give.

While it is entirely possible someone throws a huge offer at him, I doubt any will unless he makes another huge leap next season. Even though he's really only had a few issues since he's been in the league, the majority still sees him as a knucklehead.
I think it would take a lot of balls from some GM to throw a big offer at him under the new CBA and expecting him to be one of the top 3 players on their team. Fields offer was a horrible deal so the Raptors could screw over the Knicks who were after Nash at the time.
There are a lot of players out there on cheap deals who have always been contributors to winning teams and talented, but couldn't get big money. For example: Matt Barnes, JR Smith, Nate Robinson, Jerryd Bayless, etc.
I think we can get a good gauge of where Lance's value may lie by the contracts Robinson, Tony Allen, and Corey Brewer; maybe also Jennings.
