I just want to throw this out there those what people think.

There has been a lot of talk about the Pacers pursuing J.J. Redick and Kyle Korver. I'm not sure the Pacers can afford either of those guys unless there are some trades made to free up cap space.

Mike Dunleavy has proven he can hit the outside shot and will probably only cost $3-4 million per year, would he be someone to consider? Bringing him in to play 15-20 minutes per game may not be a bad idea.

I think 3-4 mil is a bit steep for someone of his caliber. If we can't land Redick or Korver, I'm fine with it, though I'm not sure he would want to come back here.

I would rather have Indy2theWindy suit up than have that bum back here. Good riddance.

He's really not the kind we are looking for. He is good but we need more of a sparkplug off the bench. There are cheaper guys that are possibly better fit than him.

Dunleavys not the kind of guy you can just throw in off the bench and knock down some shots. He's the kind you need to get going and work into the flow.

I still like Chris Copeland from NY off the bench for dirt cheap.

No Dunleavy! I would rather take a chance on drafting a wing.

3-4 mil would be way too much, but if he was willing to sign a vet min contract for a year then why not? He may sign for cheap since he's really never won in his career and likely hasn't blown all the money he's made. He seemed to like it in Indiana and was serviceable in his time here.

Any amount of money is too much for Dunleavy. We're at a different point to grab a guy like him and he doesn't really fit our system. When we first got him, it was more to do with his off-field personality and class then it had to do with talent. He did play well here but grateful that era of Pacers basketball is over.

Even a minimum contract? I don't see why people would be so down on him on a one year deal. We would have been a better team last season if he was in Green's spot. He put up 10.5 ppg on 43% from three this year and was fairly steady all season long.

He would have been our best bench player this season (though none of our bench played defense really either).

I'd jump all over a minimum contract, but I think he'll get more elsewhere.

By "any amount" i meant in realistic terms. I don't think he'd settle for a league minimum.

On our team last year he'd have been the third wing which would have meant 20 minutes per game. He's a legit plan B if Granger gets traded or doesn't make it back. Our bench lacked guys who know how to play and Dunleavy is a solid high iq guy. He has his flaws but all this negativity seems like guilt by association

Korver and Reddick are better options but on a decent contract Mike is fine.

I think I'd rather have Mike than Korver. I know I'd prefer him to Reddick. don't judge him by his final years here. he wasn't healthy.

I honestly think he would work great in our current system. You can use his good passing skills in similar ways we used West and Hibbert this past season to facilitate from the post. We could probably run the same David West pick n pop plays with Dunleavey, but having him float to the three point line instead of mid range. He'd fit right in with the culture and is familiar with the team.

I doubt he would take a league minimum contract, but you never know. The league minimum for him would be about 1.5 mil IIRC. He's already made 63 million and his family has money, plus he will likely get a league office job at some point.

He's never been on a good team though. This years Bucks team was probably the best team he's been on. You know he wants to win and he's already 32, so I wouldn't say it's entirely out of the question.
