Anyone know if there has been any concrete rumors of us getting new jerseys this year? I read somewhere once that league rules mandate teams can only get new uniforms every 8 years. We got the current unis in 05 making last year the 8th season with them and us eligible for new ones. Just wondering if anyone has heard anything. Would like to get something new. Bored with our bland unis

Once every 8 years? Isn't that too long?

There's something like a 4 year rotation.

Either way, no new jersey's this year. Next year at the earliest. We did experiment with the T-Shirt jersey's in summer league, and there's an outside chance we could use those in some games this year as an alternate (puke).

Keep in mind though, that our "bland" uniforms were ahead of the curve, and have been what teams like New Orleans have shot for in their new jersey's.

I never understood the visceral hatred for the sleeved jerseys. Yes, they are pointless and unfamiliar, but it seems unworthy of the disgust people react to it with.

All I really care is whether or not players like them. I think it could be a nice option for the athletes like giving soccer players the option to go long-sleeved or short-sleeved.

But on topic, if they were going to have new jerseys this season, they would've already been announced and whatnot, for sales reasons.

They don't like them even More than I don't like them. They just make a team look so unprofessional and never look like an actual jersey.

It goes against the grain of tradition to have the sleeved jerseys, that should be enough to dissuade their use. The only reason they are considered is due to commercial benefit, that is no benefit to me as I still wouldn't wear them. (I have football (soccer) jerseys and never wear those)

I hate those sleeved jerseys. It makes the players look like volleyball players.

Not sure if we are or are not, but i do remember that this upcoming season we are eligible for new jerseys. Whatever window there is not to change jerseys, came to an end at the end of last season.

Change is hard sometimes but wouldn't surprise me to see the T shirts at some point. Remember the short shorts? I am telling my age probably but I remember when that change happened and it did take getting use to it. I do like the Jerseys though, too!
