trying to immerse myself in learning about the stadium prior to my first visit... is this an exciting section?
INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana Pacers guard George Hill and guard/forward Paul George have come together for the third year to form the G2 Zone Part III, a special fan zone in partnership with Gatorade, created for Pacers home games.
"Paul and I have so much fun with these fans," said Hill, the former Broad Ripple High School and IUPUI standout. "They've become like family."
"We are so happy with the Pacers' partnership with Gatorade to once again help us as we bring our G2 Zone together," added George, an NBA All-Star a year ago. "We are looking for unique, loud, crazy fans. It has to be special."
George and Hill have purchased 72 tickets for the G2 Zone winners (72 is Paul George's No. 24 multiplied by George Hill's No. 3) for Section 120 of the Krieg DeVault Club Level. Members of the exclusive section will receive a ticket to EVERY home game; participate in theme nights; receive a G2 Zone T-shirt and a Gatorade towel; and attend exclusive events with both Hill and George.
To be eligible to join the G2 Zone, Pacers fans must team up in pairs and submit a photo along with a brief bio to Pacers.com/G2Zone. The deadline to submit a photo is Friday, Sept. 13, at 11:59 p.m. Finalists will be notified the next day and must attend the Finals in Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Thursday, Sept. 19. The 72 winners will be announced that evening.
The Pacers are only 60 days away from Opening Night, Oct. 29, when Orlando comes to town. Opening Night is presented by Kroger.

Re: G2 Zone Part III
G2 and Area 55 are two sections for by invitation only crazies. fans compete for free tickets. you can find a film of the Area 55 auditions on pacers.com. your article suggests that G2 try outs have yet to be held. both sections are loud and full of hecklers. my favorite Area 55 gear is Hib-Hib-Hoo-Roy. also carrying on long time but now retired stadium announcer Reb Porter's classic Two-Ah is a great tradition.
