Well, I think we all were rather pleased he wasn't our back-up PG any more and now the Raps have come to the same conclusion as they have waived him.
Are we going to see him somewhere else this season?
I think it is curtains for him in the NBA but could see him sign for a Chinese team where his deficiencies will be less obvious and he can gain rhythm by playing as a starter.
Whatever happens, I wish him all the best.
PS the Gay trade could also spell the end of Hansbrough as a player that gets minutes on a frequent basis. That would hurt me more, I still love Tyler for what he is, a bloody hard working blood and guts guy and I think he has a role in the NBA but it has to be on the right team. Him on the Spurs would give them a hard-nosed energy guy that can break some bones when Timmy is on the bench for example. Anyway, I digress, what do you guys think?

What are you talking about?. The trade won't affect Hansbroughs playing time at all. He was a starter before he got injured, and before starting he was the first one off the bench.

Re: Augustin waived by Raps
he's right. Raps are very happy with Tyler.
this was totally an addition by subtraction trade. Gay was an infrequent passer and a frequent bad shot taker. they are very happy to be rid of him and his salary ... and his attitude.
DJ had played his way to the bench. I don't think any of the guys they got from the Kings figures in the long term plans, although Vasquez made DJ expendable. actually he might even make Lowry expendable. Patterson will get a chance to play. I think Salmons and Hayes were just salary filler.

Re: Augustin waived by Raps
DJ never regained his form after Larry Brown was dismissed from the Bobcats. He showed a lot of promise under Brown. Seems to be another case of a potentially good player having his confidence destroyed by a bad situation. I hope he goes overseas and plays big minutes to regain his confidence. I hope that Bird sticks to his guns and doesnt make a trade. Lowry is pretty good but the team chemistry is high right now. I also think that Sloan and Watson are good enough. Sloan should play more. He is effective when he gets minutes.

Re: Augustin waived by Raps
Yeah I didn't realise Tyler had bumped up to starter, pleased to see he is doing well in Toronto. Re. Lowry, neah, we don't need any changes this season.
Re. Augustin, I don't think he ever was a real NBA PG, just a bit below level for starter and not effective enough coming off the bench. He will do better in a slightly less demanding league where PGs aren't built like brick houses.

if you intended that to be a question, my answer is no. we chose to have Hill, Watson, and Sloan. had Bird wanted a different type of player, he would have made other choices. as for Lowry, if he was great, Toronto wouldn't be shopping him.

On the wire now that Bulls are in for Augustin. Really? Has he not demonstrated enough ineptitude?
