Larry's honesty and character always fascinates me. On the issue of re-signing Lance, I think Larry made it clear that the decision would have to come from Lance himself and he will not tear up the core just for the sake of re-signing him. Especially if he would want a bigger contract somewhere else.

Only now did I realize that we do have a very good core of guys in our front office with Larry, Donnie, and Kevin.
And Peter Dinwiddle, whom I am not really familiar with, seems to be involved in a big way.

To me it looks like Larry wants to resign him but Larry's not going to panic if we don't he said he will just go and find someone to put in there

I was curious to know more about the list of players we're interested on from other teams. I'd assume that most of these would be bench types rather than guys that would require a bigger move. Ed Davis was mentioned as the guy we nearly drafted over PG and he's currently getting about 15 minutes a night in Memphis on the last year of a contract that pays about 3mil... I recall a brief period where Davis looked like he might really thrive, but I haven't heard much about him for a couple seasons so it's hard to gauge his worth other than his reduced minutes. His contract matches up with Copeland's and I know Memphis has struggled with having any 3 point shooters so I wonder if something like that would make sense?

Good shout granger05, that does indeed seem to fit our needs better, although I doubt Davis would get many minutes it might be one of the back-up scenarios in case of injury.

I kinda like Ed Davis, the Grizzlies are high on him and there are rumors about Z Bo on the trading block to open up minutes for Davis. But currently, IMO, we will need more of Copeland than Davis come playoff time. But it too depends on Granger's health as he can really make Copeland expendable.

Agree with EuroPacer, could be fall-back plans in case of emergencies. Knock on wood.
