How good would this team be?

So a user on the player comparison board made this thread: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=1294830

and he had the rules :

Build a team (5 starters, top 3 off the bench) for your favorite franchise that could win a title in any era. Players picked:

*Must have played at least 5 seasons in the NBA (if they miss an entire year with injury (like doesn't even suit up once all year), it does not count toward these five--->i.e. one could not use Derrick Rose, for example).
*Must have played at least 2 seasons of their careers for your franchise (again, an entire year missed with injury does not count). For this you can choose from any era, and are allowed to go back to prior team names or even prior cities (e.g. if your team is the Kings, you can use players from back when they were the Rochester or Cincinnati Royals).
*The eight players you choose must have LESS THAN 20 total All-Star selections between them. For instance, my team is the Bulls: I cannot simply say "Jordan + Pippen" and then throw some role players around them: Jordan and Pip already have 21 All-Stars between them (2 more than is allowed).

And I made this Pacers team:

C -Rik Smits (1)
PF - Jermaine O'Neal (6)
SF - Danny Granger (1)
SG - Reggie Miller (5)
PG - Mark Jackson (1)

Bench:

Ron Artest (1)
Jeff Foster (0)
Stephen Jackson (0)

Total: 15

Would this team be any good? Could there be any improvements?

Thanks

Lots of improvements can be made.

Replace Stephen Jackson and Jeff Foster with Roy Hibbert and Paul George. That adds only 2 all-star seasons.

Is ABA allowed? Cause that's where half of the Pacers' talent it.

Consider starting Artest over Granger. He actually played with O'Neal and Miller.

Maybe get Jalen Rose in the mix.

I'd somehow fit Mel Daniels in for Rik Smits (don't get me wrong, I love Rik, being Dutch and all, but Mel Daniels is a legend of the franchise). Perhaps even swap him in for Jermaine O'Neal and swap Stephen Jackson out for Detlef Schrempf, I think that comes to 20?

Pretty sure Hibbert and George aren't eligible as they haven't played 5 seasons.

It can't be 20 also, it's under 20. So 19 or less.

start by looking up at the rafters and you'll see Reggie, Mel, and Rajah. Mark Jackson and JO are okay to round out the starters. second unit names might be Smits, D Davis, Billy Knight, and Don Buse. George McGinnis needs to be in the top ten even though he's another 4. maybe go for a full twelve and then Granger and Freddie Lewis would work.

I'd probably not take McGinnis. Great player, stat and talent wise, but really not a winner. I'd honestly take West over him. I see West more successful in any era than McGinnis.

McGinnis had three point range and was every bit as strong as West even though he played in an era when no one lifted weights and everyone smoked in the locker room at half time. as for winning, he was part of the 1972 ABA championship team.

This season is Hibbert 6th, so I think his eligible.

No. This was his 6th. He was drafted in 2008.
