Our bench killed us. The plus/minus stat line is stunning. If I'm not mistaken the bench struggled throughout the road trip. Wondering if it's time to consider some tweaks of that unit?

I don't quite read it that way, there were starters on the floor most of the time. I think the issue was that Scola couldn't convert and Danny still seems to be insecure about what his role is, I also wonder how fit he is, as at times he seemed at least a step too slow to get a good look.

What I would have liked, again as this has been a problem all season, is a tougher starting stance. They seem to feel their way into each game, particularly against teams we don't meet a lot, We give too many first quarters away needlessly and end up having to chase.

36 against the Suns in the first quarter is sub-par, and that is down to the starters coming in with the wrong mentality.
Vogel is Dutch for Bird.

we sure have failed trying to get Phoenix to play at our tempo. the worry is that other teams will see these tapes and try to run us out of the gym. none of our bigs are speedy and we've refused to match down. if this becomes a pattern, we'll need to try Danny or Cope at the 4.

All teams have figured the Pacers out. All you have to do is run on them. Its not only the bigs that cant keep up. George Hill cant stay in front of anyone. IF Anyone was thinking this team is going to win a championship in the near future your dreaming.

I think you might be on to something beyond when teams run on us.

Here's what I'm seeing when I watch Scola. Can't guard at all. Vulnerable off the dribble and unable to step out to the three point line. Lacks the explosion to get anything done with his back to the basket. Decent rebounder, knows what to do with the ball and a good mid range shooter. Bottom line if he's not hitting his shots I'm not sure there are enoght positives to his game to justify the negatives.

We all saw it during the Clipper game when West was ejected and Scola got into foul trouble, Danny taking over at the 4 and doing a solid job. Truth be told Danny would probably be able to make more of a contribution playing the 4. He looks a step slow guarding wing players and doesn't appeat to be able to beat anyone off the dribble. Playing the 4 could be better for him.

It would also allow us to gain some overall team speed with whoever would take over Danny's minutes at the wing.

Tell me what I'm missing.
