I figured it was time to look forward to the summer league now that the draft is over.
Right now, the roster stands at:
Jake Odum - Guard, Indiana State
Tyler Stone - Forward, Southeast Missouri State Redhawks
James Nunnally - Small forward, UC Santa Barbara
Kevin Jones - Power forward, West Virginia
Ashaun Dixon-Tatum - 7 ft center from Anderson
Donald Sloan
Solomon Hill
Shayne Whittington - Center from Western Michigan
Willie Reed - Power forward who went undrafted in 2011, played with the Kings last season
Dee Bost - Mississippi State point guard who has not played an NBA minute yet.
Lavoy Allen - 2nd player received in the Danny Granger trade. Wasn't given much of a chance last year.
Dan Burke - Long time assistant coach for the Pacers
Jackie Carmichael - Illinois St. power forward that currently plays in the D-League
Frank Gaines - G, IPFW
DeQuan Jones - F, Miami
Arinze Onuaku - C, Syracuse
Sadiel Rojas - G, Oklahoma Wesleyan
Depth Chart
PG - Donald Sloan | Jake Odum | Dee Bost
SG - Frank Gaines | Sadiel Rojas
SF - Solomon Hill | James Nunnally | Tyler Stone | DeQuan Jones
PF - Lavoy Allen | Kevin Jones | Willie Reed | Jackie Carmichael
C - Shayne Whittington | Ashaun Dixon-Tatum | Arinze Onuaku
Coach - Dan Burke
I'm sure there will be more added as we get closer to the summer league.
The notable absence being Orlando Johnson who will play with the Warriors.
Schedule
All games played in the Orlando summer league
7/5 - Brooklyn vs. Indiana
7/7 - Indiana vs. Boston
7/9 - Indiana vs. Oklahoma City
7/10 - Miami vs. Indiana

Doesn't Golden State play in the Vegas Summer League? So in theory, OJ could play for both, correct?

Roger Mason Jr. will be playing on our Summer League Team
From HoopsHype:
Michael Scotto: Sources: Roger Mason Jr. will play for the Indiana Pacers in the Orlando Summer League. Twitter @MikeAScotto
Will Lavoy Allen play?
As far as the official SL low-down:
"The Orlando Magic will host the Southwest Airlines Orlando Pro Summer League at the team’s practice court at the Amway Center from July 5-11, 2014. The 25-game, seven-day event will feature the
Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Oklahoma City Thunder and Philadelphia 76ers."

Odom is a PG, and only a PG. He could compete with Sloan for a roster spot, but first he has to earn a training camp spot.
Keep in kind, summer league teams guarantee nothing in terms of players connected with teams. Training camp invites are more serious.

I'm glad we're having Mason Jr. play here, need more vets on the bench. I wanted Patric Young or Mcadoo to play for us to see if they have anything we could use, but oh well. None of the other guys here do anything for me and I highly doubt we keep a young guy.

I'm not sure why McAdoo didn't develop at NC but, you might have been able to say the same thing about Miles Plumlee and it appears he's going to be ok. Have to agree on Patric Young too. Since we have no rookies and aside from Solomon Hill no developmental players either it would seem that Indiana would be a good destination for guys like Young and McAdoo.

Oops, my bad, I'll correct it.
Also will add Roger Mason Jr. to the roster.

I hope Lavoy plays for us.
As far as Roger Mason goes, I really don't like him. He doesn't do anything particularly well, even shooting, and he's been a journeyman since he came into the league because of that.

I was hoping they would invite a couple of those undrafted guys. Jahii Carson; McAdoo; P. Young; Maybe even Bachynski. Indy needs some younger; more athletic energy guys around. I would say at least two guys that go for every rebound; dive for loose balls; dirty work utility guys that are skilled off the bench. Mahinmi played hard and well until he realized that Bynum couldnt take his job due to health. The team needs more of that type of competition around. The bench may never be a scoring juggernaut; but at least they would play harder defense; and make more plays. Psycho T; as much as I was ready for him to go. He did a lot of these things in addition to fouling and streaky scoring. Im hoping that Solomon can infuse some of that lightning in a bottle with consistency.

My thinking is that Young could learn a lot from West. I would love if we started signing some young guys like Morey does. Give them one year guaranteed (we need to fill in spots anyways) and two years unguaranteed so if we like them we can keep them super cheap. Mcadoo is more of a mystery to me since he sucked in college but has some really nice tools.
As far as Mason Jr. goes (in response to Jake's post), I like that he's a guy who can handle the ball at least adequately and can get on some hot shooting streaks. I'd moreso like to keep him just for vet presence. It never hurts to have someone whose been around the league for a long time, bounced around, played some meaningful PO minutes in his career, and is involved in the PA.

I don't think Lavoy is in a spot in his career where he needs to play summer league. He'll get guaranteed money from someone this year.

Agreed. Lavoy doesn't need to prove a thing. He will be picked up by someone if not by us.
I predict Sloan will explode at the SL. (18/4/7)

Western Michigan center Shayne Whittington will also be playing for us.
And I'd really like to have Patric Young on our summer league roster. He could do a lot of good under West, he really reminds me of West with the way he plays.

Willie Reed will also be playing for the Pacers' summer league team per wiretap.

Are we looking at Roger Mason Jr. as possibly the replacement to Rasual Butler's co-mentor of the team? I know he's professional and all, but I am wishing we will end up with someone younger. And if possible, a scorer and not just a shooter.

Possibly. But probably not. I'd imagine we'll take 13 guys out of camp into the season. We're pretty well locked in with:
Hill/Watson
Lance?
George/Hill
West/Scola?/Cope
Hibbert/Mahinmi
Sloan is likely to remain. That'd be 11 bodies. At that point, we're only likely to see 2 other guys on the roster. If imagine at least one, if not both, would be wings.

Looks like Willie Reed never even played a minute for the Kings last year. Went undrafted in 2011 too. Not sure what the FO hopes to get out of him.

Mississippi State's point guard Dee Bost will be the third point guard on our summer league roster.

Yup. Not confirmed, but apparently expected. I'm a bit surprised. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll think he doesn't deserve a guaranteed contract....
