Pacers Interested In Marshon Brooks?

Saw this on the wiretap with only a twitter post as a source.

Not surprised though. We need to have to reinforce our offense now that we've lost our primary scorer. I like Brooks because of his potential, but he is kind of short to play the three. Had we not signed CJ Miles, I would be excited to have Brooks. But now that it is an sf we need, I'd rather go for "bigger" options. I'd rather have Beasley than Brooks right now, if the price is right.

I'd take a flyer on Beasley if it's at or near league minimum. For 1 year.

I wouldn't mind having Marshon around. He's never gotten much of a chance and has been written off because of attitude problems.

Beasley though, no interest in. He couldn't get any playing time on a shallow Heat bench, and for good reason.

One thing we know for sure is that Marshon can flat out score in a multitude of ways. I like the idea for that reason alone. He has been criticized for his defense and its part of the reason he doesnt stick anywhere. Maybe Vogel can motivate him to play the right way and we can watch him blossom. I personally believe he has very good potential and will eventually play a key role somewhere. Im all in for him. Honestly I wouldve loved to have him even if Paul didnt go down considering Lance is gone. The rumors about his ego doesnt matter to me. Because anyone who plans to be great (in any profession) has to have that confidence and bravado. And the reality is that Indy has to have guys who can get their shot sometimes instead of passing it around the perimeter until the shot clock expires.
