Does this change how we approach the trade deadline? We sit just two games outside of the 7th spot, so do we move our expirings and first rounder for a more experienced asset, perhaps Dragic? Bird made it obvious about three weeks ago that he wasn't ready to pack it in, so do we add PG13 to the mix and hope it's enough to knock off either the Hawks, Raptors, or whomever else lands at 1 and 2?

I don't see us knocking off Hawks or Raptors with a non game ready PG

I mean its awesome that he is looking healthy and that he is wanting to play, but isn't it the smart thing just to sit out rest of the year? I know a lot of you still are hoping to make the playoffs and to hang on to West but I just really think for the best of the future of our franchise is to trade West and we should easily getting a good young player along with another 1st round pick. Even if we don't get lucky in the draft loto, still would be a top 8-10 pick and be able to add a solid young player to the roster. I know it be exciting to be in the playoffs and have a chance to win and stuff but the best thing for the future in my opinion is doing what I just mentioned.

If he returns this season it's just to get some games under his belt and get a look at the team moving forward. Playoff noise wouldn't be a bad thing, but it's not even close to my primary concern with this team right now.

We're not moving our 1st, no matter what. But moving some of our expirings for long term salary that is better players? Sure.
