Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland stabbed outside 1 OAK club

Post#1 » by MillerTheKiller » Wed Apr 8, 2015 11:38 am

A former member of the New York Knicks now playing for the Indiana Pacers was stabbed in the abdomen — and his wife slashed — during an argument outside 1 OAK club in Chelsea early Wednesday, cop sources said.

Chris, his wife, and a 3rd victim were all taken to the hospital in stable condition. The attacker was arrested on site.

In the ensuing scrum, it appears that Pero Antic and Thabo Sefalosha were arrested for menacing and resisting arrest charges. They were in town to play the Nets.

I cant be the only one wondering what he was doing out so late on a game night, right?

Yup but to be fair he hasn't really played since the first month of the season. Still he, Thabo, and Antic aren't the guys I'd expect to be out that late.

Glad he and his wife seem to be OK.

Some people are night owls, esp those that dont work 8-4. And its not like we are talking about Stephen Jackson here.

Thoughts and prayers with Chris and the other victims. A swift kick in the ass to anyone with anything else to say about this.

Yeah, but he's not exactly going to NYC with the boys for a getaway weekend. He's at work and on a business trip. The games are at night but teams hold practices and meetings in the morning all the time.

You sure aren't, i think it's not very professional to be out that late if you have a game that day

Given that it was Cope getting stabbed and no guns were involved, I'd give our boy the benefit of the doubt.

It's not like he's been a problem child, either. People go out with friends on business trips all the time.
