I was pretty disappointed with the way the Rudez NBA career started but i have to say i have been pretty impressed with him down the stretch. I did not see as many games as I have liked to this season due to my own personal life getting in the way unfortunately, but i still ordered the package on tv, despite it collecting dust most of the season. That said, from what i saw at the end i liked.

Rudez had several nice games since the January 1st for the Pacers, including 17pts when he started for CJ Miles.

Since the all-break, he's been the best 3pt shooter in the NBA, and shot a impressive 50% from behind the arc since January. According to 8points9seconds.com, Rudez had the highest point ratio per shot on the team at 1.17pps. http://8points9seconds.com/2015/04/23/s ... er-review/

Thoughts on what may be in store in the future for Rudez and what we can expect from him next season?

I'm excited to see what Rudez may bring in his "sophomore" season.

I was initially dismayed that we used part of the MLE on him. However, he's payed so little (essentially about 10% over the vet minimum) and he showed more than enough to earn his spot going forward.

Even if he's just a 14th or 15th situational type guy, he's a good fit. If he develops more to be more of a rotational guy at the 3 or 4? Even better.

No matter what, guy can shoot. And that's a skill that you can always find a situation for.

I was also down on him at the start, but he's grown on me and I like what he brings. Once he got adjusted, he played fairly smart and hard and started knocking down shots. I think he can be a more useful Steve Novak. Not as good a shooter, but not useless in other facets. And the fact that he's paid about 25% of Novak is a huge plus.

I see him getting a chance to be a stretch four as we try smaller lineups.

I was sour on him at first too. But he picked it up and adjusted down the stretch and became what Larry was probably looking for when he first signed Cope. We haven't had a stretch big in a while. West and Hibb are solid shooters for their size but not to that far out
