Most Obvious 2nd Round Pick Ever
With the 41st pick in the NBA Draft, the Pacers obviously select:
George de Paula, from Brazil
I couldn't make this up if I tried.

He's generally projected to go in that range, and I don't care who else is on the board, you take that guy. The Karmic influence alone is enough to make it a good pick.
Paul George, George de Paula, George Hill, and Solomon Hill. This is meant to be.

Re: Most Obvious 2nd Round Pick Ever
Also we could end up trading Roy Hibbert to the Lakers for Jordan Hill, the HOU pick (draft Chris McCullough), and their 2nd rounder. Corner the Hill market and the George market simultaneously.
If WCS slips to us, we select him, then in the 2016 draft we select Troy Williams
Then Chris Paul will come to play in Indiana when he's a FA in 2017. Chris Paul, Paul George, George Hill, Solomon Hill, Jordan Hill, William Cauley-Stein, George de Paula, Chris McCullough, & Troy Williams. A one-hundred percent interlocking name system where everyone shares one name with someone else (yes, William to Williams adds an S, but the point stands.)
Brilliant.

I noticed that too. Bird is destined to pick him.

Sounds good. But can our back court compete without the CJ Miles, CJ Watson, and CJ Fair combination?

Re: Most Obvious 2nd Round Pick Ever
On a serious note, I wouldn't mind us taking him in the 2nd round. Especially if we end up taking a big in the first round.
He's a big combo guard and with CJ Watson likely gone, we're going to need depth at the backcourt. This may be a biased comparison but watching some clips of him reminds me of Lance Stephenson. Less explosive of course, but he can really create plays for him and for the team.

haha
I was actually reading up on him few days ago. I forget on which web site, maybe draft express, but they said his stock is rising and should be selected at the end of the first round. He's a project player but has a very high peak.

We'd need Miles Turner to go with CJ Miles.

Sad News. He just withdrew from the draft.
How about LeBryan Nash? LeBron James + Kobe Bryant + Steve Nash = LeBryan Nash. Can't be mad.

Dang. Thought he might have worked his way high enough to want to stick around. Must not have gotten a high enough guarantee.
So, Pat Connaughton, then?

I know I am just a daft European, but American naming conventions are beyond ridiculous now, aren't they?
I mean LeBron was bad enough, but LeBryan? Is his sister called LaSharon?
Oh my word... had to google it didn't I?

Don't travel down that rabbit hole. My wife occasionally works in labor/delivery at hospitals. Some of the names she sees....sheesh.

So like a European Shabazz Muhammed then?
And I still think one of the most ridiculous names is Lance Stephenson's little brother, Lantz.

Hell, no. I thought naming your kid Lord Voldemort was bad enough. This is madness. Could be a fan of the Mummy movies.

Oh, agreed. It's one thing to alter names. It's something entirely stupid to give all your kids the same name, but with different spellings. That's just silly.
And yes, I think George Foreman was crazy!

Oh dear hahaha, that made me laugh Scoot.
We won't have children, but they would have been named after my grandfather (my middle-name) and my brothers if boys or my grandmother if a girl. It's a mark of respect in our little Frisian culture.

You find that unusual? Aren't all the traits we men find sexy in women about delivering and feeding babies? Aren't women sexually attracted to the best warriors as evidenced by success in sports?
As for names, there is something going on in the African American community that I can't say I understand. Pretty sure it is more than just phonetic spelling. Perhaps it is a reflection of pride and uniqueness.
My own culture's tradition is to name children after deceased relatives. Often only the initial letter is carried forward though.
