I was unsure about Sol at the start of the season. But stories like
this. make me incredibly happy.
He might not be a super-talent but he is showing an eagerness and willingness and mental strength that remind me a lot of a certain mr. J. Foster. Hill could well be an Indiana glue-guy for a very long time.

I hope he will be able to play some 4. Sounds like he has the right attitude when it comes to working on his game to become reliable.

Yes, Solo at the PF. I think it makes a lot of sense and would love to see some smaller line-ups like that. Solo has the size to get by against smaller 4's and has the range to create space.

I know this could be an exaggeration but I think Solo is in the same mold as Draymond Green, to a bit lesser extent obviously. But he's the kind who can play 2-4. He just needs to be more aggressive. I think last year, he showed some promise, but not consistently.

Sorry. I just don't see it. I'm not sure he warrants a roster spot at this point.

Solo was a 4 in college. there are a whole batch of nice interviews online at pacers.com beginning with one with Solo.

That's quite an exaggeration. He may not pan out to be much more than an average role player, but to say he doesn't warrant a roster spot is absurd.

He clearly warrants a roster spot. I can see a debate, or at least a bit of a "show me something" attitude about whether he deserves a rotation spot. But a roster spot? He clearly is above that.

Last year he went from playing almost never to being our go-to to guard the Hardens an. Lebrons of the league. He held up ok. And he is gonna get better.

I agree 100% with this assessment. He played fairly well last season. Had a few games where he scored 28. Thats definitely roster worthy in the NBA. I imagine things being easier for him playing with Paul and possibly Monta on the floor with him. I remember watching him barreling in the lane last season against several teams and bigs getting out of the way. Dan Burke said he has potential to bring some nastiness that David brought. That bully mentality on offense is nice to have alone.
