Would there be any interest in bringing him home to start at the four. He should come at a reasonable price. I have to admit I would love for him to come back. He would bring back a veteran presence. He also would make things easier rotation wise because of his minute limitations. He could play about 20 mins a game with Solo, Lavoy, Turner or Paul picking up the rest of the mins at the 4.
Hill/? perhaps Sloan
Ellis/Young
George/Miles
Granger/Solo
Turner, Lavoy or Ian?

I'd love him as one of the 12-15th men, to be a solid veteran voice in the locker room, and to play the PF a few minutes. If he'd come for the minimum, I'd gladly take him for that.

Isn't he still with the Suns? I saw a story about him opting to stay with them. His salary is about $2.1 million. I agree that he could be one of those stabilizing guys that's great for the locker room. But thinking about needing guys like that now that West is gone is depressing, he was the guy who could beat the hell out of anyone who got out of line and everyone on the team knew it.
I also saw the reports that West was upset at the way management targeted Hibbert after the season was over and that's part of the reason he left, that's really sad if that's the reason we lost him.

Way behind the times, my man! He just got salary dumped on Detroit along with Marcus Morris and Reggie Bullock to start clearing salary for Tyson Chandler and possibly Lamarcus Aldridge. You would never make it as Woj!

I was asleep all day, didn't see that, I know they are thinking they're gonna get Aldrige but I think he's gonna be a Spur.

Would love DG back. He can still shoot 3's. Also he had a few months with the Suns training staff and thats more than enough time for them to weave their sorcery on him.

I'd love him back to simply be a locker room guy. But the reality is he's been trash since we traded him away.

You basically described half of the guys on rosters in the 12-15th spots anyway. Worth keeping around just for the locker room guy. If he could be healthy enough to play a few minutes every couple nights at the 4 and hit some 3's? All the better.

Wouldn't mind adding Granger back. But I doubt Bird would do it. But I agree with Scoot. With David opting out, I think we need a veteran presence to keep the guys at bay.

I'd love to bring him back off the bench. I don't know if Bird will be up to it, but it'd be a good move IMO.

Well, Danny said we were really close to re-signing him last summer, but our money was tied up in the Lance/Miles negotiations and he couldn't wait to the end of that and have his other offers dry up.
I'd like to think that if we could get him for the vet minimum, or whatever "sliver" of cap space we'd have left over the minimum (though I'd prefer to see that used to give Joe Young a non-guaranteed 3 or 4 year deal), we'd have interest. He knows Indy. He knows Frank and Larry. He's liked. He was always a good, smart locker room guy. Why not have him around? And with David gone, and Monta in, we'll need all the good voices we can get. Especially if we keep Roy around.

I think he'd be great for the locker room no doubt. Granger could very well exceed our expectations if this whole comeback angle lights a fire under his ass.

even if he is just 6 more fouls on LeBron I'd give him a chance to wave a towel at the end of the bench and retire here.

Heck, even if he's just a suit sitting inactive on the end of the bench, I'd love to have him back.

I'm with Scoot. He's not David West, but he's got some salt.
