David West to Spurs - Fare the well!

Stuck to his word. Took a minimum salary (after turning down $12.6m from us) for his best chance at a championship. It appears that he has one, maybe two years left, so good for him for making his best run.

Hate to see him go, but god bless him. He helped lift us to new levels with his professionalism. He deserves a ring, and to do it with a class organization is even better.

Everybody join me in wishing him well!

Wish him the best but dude could've signed a contract like that with Indy then they could've signed other good players to make a title run.. Oh well it's a business I suppose wish him the best against every one except the pacers!

Question for you all - do he and Roy get booed or cheered when they play in Indy next year? I think David gets cheered and mixed for Roy. Wasn't a bad guy, didn't abandon the team, hasn't bad mouthed anybody (yet anyway and hopefully not), it was one of those where it was purely a basketball issue.

He's about as good a fit for San Antonio as there has ever been. And the best bit is that he's not a Cav!

An absolute class act. Wish him all the best and hope he gets a ring with the Spurs (unless they play the pacers in the final)

I love that guy hope he does win one because we're not gonna be playing in the finals this year. It's gonna be tough for the Spurs, they have to get past Golden State and then probably the freaking Cavs and LBJ. What a team full of super pros the Spurs have now. Duncan, Parker and Manu are a little old as is West but that's tough looking team.

Well maybe that the case if it was a 1 yr deal but that would be seen I'm sure as a manipulation of the cap. The Over 36 rule would not trigger if it was one year because West doesn't turn 36 until August of 2017.

He was our rock for year. Unfortunately rocks don't play well in an up tempo offense. Much better fit in San Antonio in 2015-2016. Wish him the best.

Dude turned down 12 mil for the vet min. Wow.

I wish him the best, easily one of my favorite players I've ever had the pleasure to watch play for the Pacers. He was great.

I will be a Spurs fan unless they are playing the Pacers. I'm glad West gets to go to a contender. He is a consummate professional.

Looking back on it, he was a bit hypocritical. But I'll always have respect for West, a good locker room guy, and one tough son of a bitch. Hope he gets his chance in the finals next year.
