Lance may be available- do we bite?

It's expected the Clippers are nearing a trade that would send Lance to Orlando, who then would cut him. Would we make a call? Probably could get him for real cheap.

Latest from Woj -

Stephenson would never play a game for the Magic. If the trade is completed, Orlando plans to waive Stephenson and let him become a free agent, league sources said. For Orlando, that deal would mostly allow the team to save money on the final year of Frye's $8 million annual salary.

I can't see Bird going back to Lance. Recalling some of the interviews at the time, I think Bird took Lance's move personally.

It might be over for Lance in Indy.

I think Lance felt disrepected by Bird's offer. I'd take him back in a heartbeat. I'd try hard to move Chase to clear the roster spot.

Why? Bird offered him the most money, and was willing to commit the longest contract on the market to him.

Lance left because he wanted to be "the man", and he thought he would be in Charlotte.

Ultimately, I'd only take Lance back on a make good contract. Vet minimum up to the room exception (2 years $2.814m in year one, prorated for being signed midyear, and a 4.5% raise in year 2). Non-guaranteed, of course. And then I'd keep him on the bench, and on a tight rein.

If this were the NFL, we'd put Stuckey on IR and sign Lance.

I'd welcome Lance back in the off season as long as his on a Vet Minimum or near that. I would love to see the Kid get his mojo back, Dr Evil must have done a number on him in Charlotte. He's not a cancer as some think, he's just a goofy kid that loves to play ball, I hope he gets a chance again.

I'm with you on bringing him back only on a good contract. Lance screwed himself by leaving, I think he had Chemistry with PG maybe he comes back in the summer.

Think he's going to be waived by Memphis?

Allegedly, the coach wants a shot with him.
