Sup fellas! (and ladies)

Obviously I'm of the purple and gold clan lol, but I was just curious about Myles Turner.

If you guys were Bird, would you trade Myles Turner for the Lakers #2 pick?

Anyways, just curious, have a good day y'all!

Uh, maybe, maybe not. Probably not for Ingraham, since we have Paul George. Maybe not for Simmons, though Simmons may be a better player. Mostly not because of the questions surrounding Ben Simmons. He had attitude problems, and couldn't keep it together academically long enough at LSU, which is amazing, as a player only has to be academically eligible for 1 semester in order to play college basketball. During pre-requisite classes, at most.

For all the accolades people have been giving Myles for his play on the court, his demeanor, attitude, and ethic off the court is even more impressive. Look up his WARM project that he and his family started up in his first winter in Indy.

Myles is too good. If it was just about current ability, it would make sense for us, but the guy is an impressive person. He's 20, and he's got the bearing of a much older player. His maturity is fantastic, his work ethic is where it needs to be to achieve all-star status, and the gut feeling of Pacers fans is that he's a sure thing, and the #2 pick isn't.

It would be funny for Hibbert to be replaced by the kid twice on two different teams, though.

Thanks for the feedback yall. I completely agree with your logic. Myles has the intangibles off the court too.

I think you guys have a special talent there. Honestly I see Turner's upside as a LeMarcus Aldridge with better defense and who doesn't mind playing C. You can see why I'd be willing to give up Simmons or Ingram for him lol.

Anyways, thanks for your time. Have a good one!

I think Simmons, or Ingram, would both be GREAT for you guys. It's easy to just try to shortcut the rebuild, but you've already got Russell, you can deal Randle if you take Simmons, or you could play Ingram between the Russell and Randle. There are pieces there. Maybe just take them as they come? Though, the future owed pick to Philly is really a burden if you go that route.

If they have too many young fours, maybe the simple answer is to offer one to Philly and get their pick back.

No way would I trade Myles Turner for number 2. I would consider Myles Turner nearly untouchable at this point. Ingram and Simmons could potentially both turn out to be pretty good players. Simmons passing gift is already fun to watch. Im not sure that either of them are capable of being a superstar though.

I think we wind up with Ingram and I'm ecstatic about that. Simmons is comfortable with Philly (Aussie connections) and rumor has it Boston will be sending them #3 for okafor so they can take Heild or Dunn.

I don't see us trading Russell/Randle/Clarkson/Ingram because they are cost controlled assets. We have some nice young pieces and now we need to add to it in FA.

I really like Turner so I wanted to know what you guys thought of him. Got my answer lol
