and Turner is on the junior team that will be playing against them in the practices. that's why Myles wasn't in Orlando, not that he needed to prove anything in summer league.

Paul George Sees Rio as a Chance to Improve; History Agrees
By Eric Mangum | Pacers.com
After suffering a horrific leg injury at a Team USA scrimmage less than two years ago, one that kept him out of all but six games in the following 2014-15 NBA season, Paul George is excited to be able to finally represent his country on the world's biggest stage.
"It's amazing," said George to reporters upon announcing his acceptance of Team USA Coach Mike Krzyzewski's invitation to play in the upcoming 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. "I always wanted to do this. It's a dream of mine to compete for our country, so I was pretty excited to join up."
George's new head coach Nate McMillan expressed equal excitement for his superstar.
"It's an opportunity for him to represent his country," said McMillan. "He's never been able do that. You know, he's on the big stage of the Olympics. He's excited about that. I talked with Coach K. He has big things that he wants to do with Paul."

I'll be going Sunday night when they go up against Team China at Staples. Don't know whether to put on my America gear, my China gear, or my Pacers gear.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — New team. Same old result.
Full of new star power - and dominant on the inside - the U.S. men's basketball team opened its bid for a third straight Olympic gold medal Friday night with a 111-74 exhibition romp over Argentina.
A game that was over almost before it began showed the U.S. has to improve its shooting and conditioning. It also showed that there is plenty of talent among a group of players that seem to want to play well for each other and their country despite the absence of Olympic stalwarts Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.
"There's a willingness from these guys to work on anything we need and to work hard," coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "These are very good guys."

Great to see Paul George come out and play the way he did, I'm sure there were a lot mixed emotions when he took the court last nite.
"I was a little eerie stepping onto this Vegas floor," George told Jared Greenberg after the game. "But God bless, he gave me a second chance."

Paul started and scored 5 points in about 20 minutes of run. He played down to the opponents, which were an abysmal China team. Their best player was Yi Jianlian, and their bigs were hapless against Team USA's athleticism. They had some feisty play from their starting and backup point guards, though.

Meh. The earliest Jimmy Butler could possibly hit free agency is 2019. Paul George (likely) hits free agency in 2018.

My gut take? Last time Paul George was on the Olympic team, a lot of the wings played one on one pretty hard. I'm betting Paul George won a game of one on one and this was the "losers" punishment for a bet.

Monta Ellis and Rodney Stuckey for Jimmy Butler works under the trade rules. Get it done Larry
He would have to play mostly at the 2, but I think it can work out for the Pacers.
