I hear he has been cleared to resume basketball activities...could be nice addition to our bench with his 3 point shooting. Thoughts?

He has a defensive rating of 112. Who needs that?

Aaron Brooks: 112
Rodney Stuckey: 112
CJ Miles: 111
Monta Ellis: 111
The first two names have lower O-ratings than Casspi this season, too.

Thanks for making my point.

Seems kind of redundant with CJ, GR111 and PG. This team needs rebounding and playmaking and I don't think Casspi moves the needle in either area enough to make it worth our while.

Who do we waive for him? Christmas is actually looking like a decent end of the bench big and I still have faith in Joe Young being a competent backup guard. Seems a poor idea to give up on Niang so early as well. And Seraphin is a nice cheap option next year too.
If Casspi would be willing to sign a multiyear deal it may be a different story, but he'd be stupid to do so.

We don't have the roster spot. No point in cutting Niang or Young to add him.
