Time to tear it down sell off the players and move the team to Mexico City. They should tear down the Field House and build a walmart! F this game.

We played as good as we can in the first half and as bad as possible for most of the second. we could have put the Ants out there in the second half and won the game.

Lance can clearly still play and that is a significant injection of talent. Give him a summer to condition and a training camp, there is nice potential for improvement. Myles and GR3 provide nice upside too. Heck, maybe the Pacers acknowledge that Monta can't play and move on from him. Even more potential improvement.

As an outsider looking in, I hope Bird doesn't take this stance and is proactive about moving PG while you guys can still get value for him.
Based on past history with other players in similar circumstances, you should be looking at this situation in a complete 180. That being, you shouldn't consider keeping him unless you get a definitive "I'm definitely staying" from PG. Anything less than that and you get whatever value you can before it's too late and he leaves for nothing. PG seems far more likely to go the way of Aldridge and Durant than he does a Melo or CP3 with how he'd handle a departure. By that I mean, he'll be fairly non-committal to any definitive path on his future until he finally hits FA and then it's too late for the team to do anything about it. In those kind of situations, with a player of PG's personally, if I'm the GM I don't take the route of "I'm not moving a guy until he tells me I should".
Disclaimer: I don't think the Blazers have any shot whatsoever at PG, so I'm not advocating for the Pacers to move him in hopes of my team getting him. Just here as an unbiased observer hoping the Pacers learn from the past mistakes of other franchises.

Valid points. And won't be surprised to see the scenario you describe. Doesn't make the all NBA and wants to try and get there next year. I was right there with you until Lance came back. Lance and Myles provide upside that makes the situation less clear cut.

I don't disagree with you one bit. What has really changed things is the new CBA though. For a non committal guy like George if he makes the all-NBA team this year or next the Pacers can offer him $70 mil more than anyone else. If the Blazers would have had that ability I believe LMA is still playing in Portland.

You may be right about PG relative to Durant and Aldridge. However, haven't we since learned that Durant was frustrated with trying to play with Russell Westbrook? Couple that with the almost unheard of opportunity to get paid by a great team. On a lesser level Aldridge had a similar opportunity to get paid by a team who was set up a little better than Portland. And yeah, Portland had some things simply go the wrong direction that last year (Matthews getting hurt and Batum for whatever reason having an off year).
Now PG may want no part of a long term partnership with Lance Stephenson. I could understand that. It could also be pretty simplistic to think there won't be some contender in the summer of 2018 who carves out cap space. The money is probably the best bet. A rule whose outcome is driven by a bunch of sports writers.... go figure.
