As expected, he will decline player option per ESPN.

No surprise. I was a big fan of 3J. Wish him well at his next stop.

While he left a lot to be desired at times, he was good value in today's NBA of rising salaries. Also, he never complained about his fluctuating minutes or being forced to play the four. Good luck CJ, latch on to a team on the rise and help get them over the top. He could really thrive with a team that has an athletic Point Guard, he can just camp out behind the three point line. Both OKC and Washington make a ton of sense., not sure of their salary situations.

the draft comes before free agency. depending what it gives us, he could still fit well here even at a higher price.

He will be fine. Can shoot, not knockdown enough for me at times but I watched Kyle Korver at the height of ATL's success at years.

Seems like a steep price to pay for a guy who is already 30 years old. Maybe a 2 plus 1 team option at that rate. But at 12 per, I could see a team getting pretty close to landing Dion Waiters, who is only 25 years and nearly shot 40% from 3 point land.

There is a thread in the T&T saying the Pistons are interested in CJ, but they don't have the cap space to sign him all they have is part of their MLE. That's not gonna be enough to get him. I'm thinking S&T.

I've always been very meh on the guy.

Certain players I don't want on this team and others I want, but CJ is right in the middle.

If he is back, that's ok, if he doesn't return, that's ok too.

Good bench player, but not in any way a difference maker.

I heard Kevin Pritchard on one of the talk shows saying that Joe Young becomes much more relevant when Lance is on the floor as the primary ball handler. He went on to say Joe has proven to be challenged with the tasks of handling the ball and getting others involved but, he can shoot. Following this thought line I could see Joe Young becoming the off the bench 3 point shooter that CJ has been in the past.

I'd like to see the Pacers find a guy who can handle minutes as the starting 2. He wouldn't get typical starter minutes because I'd see Lance getting starter minutes coming off the bench. In that setting I could see Joe Young being the 4th guard. I think he potentially bring more to the table than Monta Ellis.
