As Asitter mentioned Turner and Drummond have varying strengths and weaknesses that seem to match up well. Myles played primarily at PF his rookie season and based off his production it is conceivable he could play the 4 again. With this package the obvious hope would be for Jax and Andre to revert back to 2015-16 form. Furthermore PG & Jax are friends so it is possible that a move like this could entice PG to stay the course.

My thoughts exactly. I see Turner as the 4, but still the primary rim defender on D. A lineup of:

Jackson
Robinson
George
Turner
Drummond

would be an improvement over 2017, assuming Jackson and Drummond return to 2016 form.

The Vertical podcast is saying that Boston/Indiana talks have stalled for the moment. I'm not terribly surprised. I was really hoping to see something happen, but if they weren't willing to do better than Minnesota's offer for Butler then I doubt they had an offer for George that would've blown us away.

The poor value the Bulls got for Butler hurts us even more with a PG trade. He told everyone he wanted to stay and he gets an injured Lavine on the last year of his rookie deal, a disappointing older sophomore in Dunn, and 9 spots in the draft. Boston won't offer 3 for him. Not good.

I disagree that Bulls got poor value. They got 3 recent lottery picks. If the Pacers can get that they should be more than happy.

What kind of offer would it take for the Nuggets to get George. We have plenty of assets, probably too many, and need to consolidate. Some of our young tradable players include: Mudiay, Trey Lyles, Tyler Lydon, and Hernangomez.

We also have vets we could trade, including Wilson Chandler, Will Barton, Kenneth Faried, and Jameer Nelson.

What kind of players/picks are the pacers looking for?

we drafted a 4 so we need a 2/3 to play PG's minutes and a 1 if we don't resign Teague. Harris is a local kid and Juancho looks like a fit but you'd need to make the salary's match by adding higher paid players unless you have cap room.

Celtics fan here...if the rumors are true and we have a deal for George contigent on Heyward signing here Bradley and Crowder have to be apart of any deal. Bradley Crowder and either Smart or Jackson or Rozier.

let's say the offer ends up being Bradley Crowder Rozier LA 2018 if not phi/sac swap and either mephis 19 or bos 18 and clipper pick how do you guys feel about that? Obviousily if George hadn't of ruined his value this wouldn't be enough but in relation to offers the Lakers are offering now (Randle 27 and 28) I feel like this might be as good as it could get. Just trying to think of what it could be...and considering Ainge took The Brooklyn picks off the table for Butler even though he wasn't a flight risk it makes me skeptical he would offer them for George.

Keep in mind I don't know how much George allegedly agreeing to a 3 year extension would increase his value because just because he'd agree to resign here doesn't mean other places..Either way I'm sure you guys just want to get it over with

Honestly, this is the best offer we've heard come through the pipeline. I'd take that offer in a heartbeat, 2 firsts is as good as we could possibly hope for. LAL/SAC will be a top 10 pick most likely and LAC could be as well if Griffin and Paul leave. Hopefully this happens.

Lavine is not a recent lottery pick and is coming off a major injury and nearly off his rookie contract. They got a lottery pick this year, but gave up 16 in a swap. And Dunn had a bad rookie season while being an older rookie. Pacers would be happy with that return, but it's a totally different situation where Butler wanted to stay in Chicago.

The clipper pick is top 14 protected in 2019 and 2020. If still not conveyed it becomes a second rounder.

That Mephis pick is far better. Top 8 protected in 2019 top 6 protected in 2020 and unprotected in 2021.

And to match salaries the other player has to be Bradley..

So the offer would be

Bradley
Crowder
LAL 2018 protected[1 and 6-30] or better of Sacramento Phillidelphia 2019 pick [unless 1 than other one]
Clipper 2019 pick

Probably all conditioned on Heyward signing here. And if we whiff on free agency than we'd keep Bradley.

First one I've ever seen that is only a single 2nd. I had to re-read it a couple of times when I first noticed it.

We're probably just a pawn in all of this but if cavs did get in on a 3 way that sent PG our way what kind of value does Thad have do you think?

Basically if we get George I'd like Thad as well but dunno if that's possible.
