Josh Magette? That's an odd inclusion. A 27 year old? does look like he killed it last year in the g league tho.

Super excited to see how our rookies, specifically Ike and Moore, handle the summer league. I think guys that come out with confidence and a winning mentality tend to do better during their rookie campaigns. Hopefully they kill it.

James Blackmon (IU) and Alex Polythress (FW Mad Ants) will play for the Philadelphia 76ers SL team.

Isaac Hamilton (UCLA), Naz Mitrou-Long (Iowa St), Augusto Lima (@euroball guy), Jarnell Stokes (D-League) will all be playing for our summer league team as well.

Should be interesting. Popeye will at least give us some good sound bites. Love when he gets interviewed at halftime. He and Burke always make me chuckle.

Thanks! I saw the update on my FB newsfeed. The roster is updated. Josh Maggette will not be playing for us after all. I'm excited to see what this group brings. I'm also assuming that if Christmas does not have a good showing during this time, he'll be gone.

A lot of guys that I'm interested in seeing how they perform this year. At least 5 or 6 guys, if not more. I think we'll have a good Summer League team though. A couple guys have been in the league a few years.

I don't really know how much attention we will have on the summer league games, because the Paul George trade could literally happen any day of the camp.

In any case, some quick thoughts of mine-

-From the OP, Ike is not going to play. I was excited to see him play but i guess he's still not ready yet.
-Joe Young has a lot to prove now... a lot of people say hes only in the NBA bc PG got him a spot. He doesn't have to play in summer league if he didnt want to as he's a 3rd year pro, but he chose to play. Good for him, step one to proving his worth is this camp.
-From the invite list, i'm more interested in seeing Naz Long from Iowa State and Ben Moore from SMU play. Both seem to have some kind of talent and playing against this kind of competition they might do some good things.
-Jarnell Stokes is a nice addition to summer league bc he's a summer league stud. Of course these games don't matter but getting destroyed by 40 in summer league isn't anything fun either.
-And of course, im pumped to watch TJ Leaf.

Disappointed Ike won't be playing. I thought he was the guy to watch.

I haven't seen anything, but given that he was a starter on a playoff team for a good portion of his rookie year I'd say not, but who knows.

I also saw somewhere that the deal won't be completed until after the moratorium so he's technically not even a Pacer right now.

Yeah, Sabonis cant play because he won't be a Pacer until July 7th.
