Seniors seem to have a hard time showing up in the mock drafts. Bird always liked them and a 22 year old certainly fits our age group better than a 19 year old.

I prefer drafting younger players myself as they typically have a much higher ceiling. For a guy who might go undrafted though, I think Theo Pinson would be an excellent pickup as he'd be a pretty great glue guy.

I think there will good seniors available in the second round pushed down by the one and dones. Haven't seen Pinson much. I do like Brunson and Bates-Diop should they fall to our pick or if Philly is selling some of their 4 seconds.

Pinson can do just about anything besides shooting.

Good defender, great playmaker for his size, good rebounder, good athlete, etc.

Jay Bilas described him pretty well in his game against Duke: "Theo Pinson only has two points right now, but he could have zero and would still be one of the most impactful players on this game."

He just changes games with his defense, hustle, and playmaking ability.

Some of my takeaways from the NCAA tournament so far:

1. Kelan Martin from Butler is legit.
2. Oshae Brissett from Syracuse could be a guy to look at.
3. I want nothing to do with Trier from Arizona. Kid looked like he didn't even give a **** vs. Buffalo and mailed in the game. That was one of the most pathetic tournament performances I've ever seen.
4. Bates-Diop would be a great first round pick, completely controlled the OSU game.
5. Overall, I don't think this year is necessarily a great one to be at the top of the draft order for. I was not all that impressed with the top guys' play so far.

Watching another OSU game. Still like Bates-Diop.

Another guy who looks interesting as a 3 and D wing is Chandler Hutchinson.

Also watched a Kentucky game for the first time this year today. Hamidou Diallo is a pretty sick athlete who plays way bigger than the 6’5” he’s listed as.

I’m not sure where he goes in the draft if he declares. My guess is someone high in the draft (like late lotto) takes him based on his potential similar to what the Bucks did with Thon Maker 2 years ago.

This time last year that’s probably where Collins was. Rim protector, big time athlete, late bloomer. Even though we have no need for that position I’d consider him if he was there when we pick.

If he goes to the combine I think he’s going to put up ridiculous numbers and I don’t think he’ll withdraw.

Teams trade up, down and out every year.

Right now Atlanta has the 30 and the 33 picks. Pacers are at 21. Doesn’t seem too far off. If you were thinking sf Chandler Hutchison or Keita Bates-Diop. Pg Jalen Brunson or Aaron Holiday. I be down for turning our pick into Hutchinson and Brunson.

Trading up the LA Clipper have the 12th and 13th picks. NBADraft.Net shows Miles Bridges and Makill Bridges going in those two spots. T J Leaf and our pick for the opportunity to get either of those guys.

If you were willing to package Al Jefferson and our pick that would open up an a fairly broad range of players. Haven’t looked at the possibilities there.

I've cooled on Miles and warmed on Mikel. Brunson or Bates-Diop hot. haven't seen Hutchinson yet.

wouldn't surprise me if Al retires or is offered a coaching position. I'm not ready to give up on Leaf particularly for a draft pick which is always a gamble.

Philly has 4 seconds so some should be available.

Nbadraft.net has us taking Zhaire Smith (Texas Tech). He’s not having a great game but he certainly looks the part. Appears bigger than the 6’5” listed. Appears to have a decent handle, knows what to do with the ball. Just made an awesome defensive play blocking Brunson. He’s an athlete. Haven’t seen any evidence of him being able to shoot. But no one in this game looks like they can shoot.

I didn't really like what I saw out of TTech. Zhaire Smith seems to be strictly an athlete drafted based on his physical potential. Not sure I would really like htat pick.
