Game Thread 12/13: Pacers vs Thunder

Post#1 » by Jstock12 » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:36 pm

~~~ Indiana Pacers ~~~
ORTG: 6th
DRTG: 20th
SRS: 8th (finally top10!)
~~~ Oklahoma Thunder ~~~

ORTG: 22nd
DRTG: 2nd
SRS: 9th

They're the 2nd best defensive team in the league and can get hot offensively very quick. Very tough game for the Pacers.

I have real low expectations here, but damn, a win would be sweet.

I got high expectations to be honest.

Thunder are losing game after game, we are winning game after game.

They beaten us the previous time. We have more than a score to settle.

This is going to be a hostile environment tomorrow night & a playoff type atmosphere. National TV game, Pacers gonna want revenge from early season loss there in OKC (Pacers were on b2b after beating T-Wolves in Minnesota*) & of course PG returns. Nobody in the league wants to be liked more than PG. That was one of his issues here, way to buddy-buddy with LeBron & others. Would rather be friends than be a killer & go after these guys. He literally might cry tomorrow night if he’s booed. And he’s too stupid to even realize why he’s going to be booed. We seriously need to give him a huge ovation because he single handily saved our franchise. If he doesn’t speak up then he’s still here giving half-ass effort on the court, playing “too cool” & then walks for nothing after a 1st round playoff exit. Instead, we get a franchise caliber all-star in return & a future starting PF.

Thank you PG.

Pacers OU before season was 31.5 wins. To cash that under (70% of the $ was on the under*), Pacers would have to finish season 15-40. Vegas wins, again. And myself! Easiest OU in the entire NBA.

And instead of finishing just outside the playoffs or losing in round 1 was an 8-seed, we are going to be a dangerous playoff team nobody will want to see....and I expect to win a round and make round 2 interesting. I hope Pitch Daddy pulls another rabbit out of his hat and is a buyer at the deadline. Yes, we are getting GRIII back but we could use another contributor. OKC is going to have to trade PeeG since he's not resigning there so maybe we can throw them a 1st rounder (that should have been in the original PG trade) and like Al Jefferson and TJ Leaf. Better than nothing OKC!

Darren Collison / Cory Joseph
Victor Oladipo / Lance Stephenson
Paul George / Bojan Bogdanovic / Glenn Robinson III
Thad Young / Domas Sabonis
Myles Turner

Interesting idea... but I think OKC want give up this year... they will reach PO and they have to try to fight for ring... of course, they want win nothing, but they have to try...

Much better option is free agency and sign PG as a free agent... if he want to be contender with max contract he will not have many options... Indiana will be ideal team for him... two superstars, several rising stars, few veterans... we could easily attack the trophey in next 2-3 years

Let's show Paul George that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.

I hope we win this game so we can stop talking about Paul George and focus on who we have instead of who we don't. It is a disservice to this team to do otherwise in my opinion. Too many fans talking about PG like a jilted lover. It's not a good look.

caught a bit of last night's TV games. Van Gundy said OKC made two, two for one trades and left itself with no depth.

Should be a lot of fun. Assume it will be electric. Thunder are Jekyl and Hyde this year. Would love to continue the win streak. Health in the backcourt is a concern with DC and CoJo questionable.

I'm expecting us to the playoff PG tonight. Hopefully it won't matter.

I’m feeling good about this game. Last time we didn’t have Turner who matches up against Adams way better than Sabonis can because of his length.

If you took the names off the jerseys then people would realize that this team sucks. Even if we get a twenty point lead, just be patient.

Let's hope our guys have their jocks on straight and come out and play their game and not the Thunders game.
