Game Thread 01/18: Pacers vs. Blazers

The Pacers take a perfect 2-0 road trip to the Pacific Northwest on Thursday, tipping off the first leg of a back-to-back against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

The game will be Indiana's third of a five-game road swing as the Pacers (24-20) appear to have recaptured their early-season momentum and are now climbing in the Eastern Conference.

Since their leading scorer and All-Star candidate Victor Oladipo returned to the lineup, the Pacers have won five of their last six games.

Feels like we get torched by McCollum and Dame every time we play them. This ones gonna come down to backcourt play. DC and CoJo are gonna have to step up

They killed us at home. Don't feel good about this, but it'd be a great win if we can pull it off. It's also a scouting opportunity as Portland is a team that may want to shed some contracts at the deadline.

Lance is going to be a game-time decision due to illness. Don't have a great feeling about this game, I think it will be the only one we lose on this road trip.

With no Turner, I expect CJ and Lillard to feast at the rim.

If lance is out we're gonna have to get some good min out of Joe Young, extra pressure on Vic, DC and Cory.

The offensive rebounding has been very impressive.

And DC has been INCREDIBLE. 17 pts on 7/9 from the field and 3/3 from deep. Couldn't ask for much more. He's outplayed Lillard!

Both teams shooting under 40%

We're just losing on boards and free throws

This one got away from them at the end of the 3rd quarter!

One of the worst 4th quarters I've ever seen.

We had a chance but we couldn't hit anything tonight. The lack of rebounding also hurt us tonight.

Couldn't watch second half. Late west coast game, my eyes were slowly giving up, and dreamland welcomed me.
BUT, some fishy reffing was in the air and Tony Brothers was in the building. Usually, when Tony refs a fix is ordered. And it looked like the fix was not Pacers. So, Pacers made mistakes, had a horrible fourth quarter... What about refs? An obstacle Pacers couldn't overcome? Or I am just delusional?
