Gsme Thread 01/21: Pacers vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Sun Jan 21, 2018 11:34 am

This should be a tough one even if the Pacers have beaten the Spurs already this season.

With two losses in a row, each in which the Pacers' offense hasn't reached 90 points, it's clear that something isn't working for Indiana's attack.

Unfortunately for the Pacers, their next game comes against the San Antonio Spurs (30-17), one of the NBA's best defenses.

For Indiana (24-22), winning the fifth game of its five-game west coast road trip would give the Pacers a 3-2 mark on the swing, covering up some of the faults from the Pacers' troublesome back-to-back skid.

After two stinkers, one due to the refs, one due to themselves, it's about time for Pacers to play well. Spurs are old, Pacers are young. Apply defensive pressure, try to cause turnovers for them, control the defensive boards and fly to score.
Spurs are beatable. But only by the teams, who play hard, play well and when the whistle is fair.
Let's just win baby :)

Pacers need a win in this one but it's gonna be tough they have only one win in their last 17 trips to SA.

Bogdanovic thrived when he was used as a spot-up shooter. Not liking him taking initiative, usually ends up horribly.

Domas on a floor today looks more like a ballet dancer, not a ball player. Fluid, effortless.

Man, perfect offensive looks but no baskets... Is it a curse, or something else...

What happened to Bogie??? Maybe he should ask coaching staff to send him to G-League? Or maybe he can't wait for the All-Star break to get his wits together...

I will never understand why Quinn thinks when a player makes a shot they have to start guarding them. isn't that's what a scouting report is for?

CoJo needs to play like he's trying to show up his former team against every team.

I'd say he's tired, seems like he's off. But they are so thin at SF there is not a chance of giving him a night off.

Huge win, was this the same team that laid an egg in LA the other night?
