Reggie Harding

Post#1 » by lakerhater » Thu Feb 1, 2018 6:46 am

One of my favorite YouTube channels is LamarMatic. I just watched a video titled “The Handle Podcast- The Troubled Life of Reggie Harding”. I remember plenty of players from that era but I don’t remember him. I was wondering if there are any old school Pacers fan here who watched him play and might have a story or two about him.

LamarMatic’s “Wilt Picking Mel Daniels Up off the Floor” video might be of interest to Pacers fans as well.

I don't really remember him, I was born in 1962 which makes me 55. I have been a Pacers fan since I was a little kid but I don't remember much from 1966-67. My earliest Pacer memories were of Mel Daniel, Neto, Rodger Brown and Billy Keller. Harding was only here that 1 season, and I was only 5.

actually, the first season was 1967-68 and that's when he was a Pacer. the team wasn't great. we did have Roger Brown but we didn't trade for Mel until the following summer and that's when things started to get good. I remember listening to the very first game on the radio visiting my parent's house, but I can't remember if I went to the Fairgrounds to see them that year. the earliest games I remember seeing in person included McGinnis and that was a few years later. anyway, I don't remember Harding either.

Yeah I went to a lot of games at the fairgrounds as a little kid with my dad and brother, those memories are a little blurry now, too many tall frosty adult beverages and years ago.

I don't know for sure when my first games were, but I don't recall Reggie Harding at all.
