I don't think we will make many more if any additional signings. I believe the remainder of our work will come through trades.

I just cant belive that Pritch did that move... Hezonja is player with a lot more potencial than McD...

While he probably will never be a talent you associate with the number 5 pick he’s still a guy with excellent size, athleticism and skill level.

I think he can definitely still be a talent you could associate with the number 5 pick. I took a look at all the number 5 picks since 2004 and the list really isn't that breathtaking.

2004 - Shaun Livingston
2005 - Raymond Felton
2006 - Shelden Williams
2007 - Jeff Green
2008 - Kevin Love
2009 - Ricky Rubio
2010 - DeMarcus Cousins
2011 - Jonas Valanciunas
2012 - Thomas Robinson
2013 - Alex Len
2014 - Dante Exum
2015 - Mario Hezonja
2016 - Kris Dunn
2017 - De'Aaron Fox

I think you could put together a pretty good team with that list.

Yes, and Hezonja would get minutes on that team. That was my point :)

Reports say that he turned down multi-year offers and wanted to have a chance to play so he likely wasn't a good option for us. He wouldn't have gotten near the chance he will in NY if he signed here and could've very likely ended up rotting on our bench since we wouldn't have the luxury of letting him play through mistakes as much.

Do we really envy NY's situation? IF they don't give him some rope they are wasting their time. On some level same for us. If he doesn't perform he will cost them some games (maybe not a big problem for the Knicks, but it would be a big deal to us). If he does perform he's a UFA nest summer and is now commanding big money that you will have to match.

Good for him having the confidence to do the one year deal. Maybe we are targeting him next summer?

Sometimes guys want one year deals to prove themselves and get a lot more money next year. Sometimes, we’re not willing to do that.

My guess is that not being from the US he probably couldn't find Indiana on a map and figured he'd be better off in NYC. That and he might be able to get more PT for the Knicks.

If he wanted a 1 year deal he might have in mind to play well and then get a bigger contract in 2019.

Randle can't shoot a lick. We would have been better off with Noel who signed at OKC for a Vet Minimum deal for 2 years.

I'm hearing Randle wants to go back to the Lakers.

How about bjelica. Should be available for a pretty cheap price. Prototypical stretch four with experience and plays the right way. Not a sexy pick up but i think he's very good and underused..

the key question in my mind is backup 2 not backup 5. now Randle at a low price would be nice if LA is forced to cut him loose to make cap room for another huge deal, but that might not happen. he might even go to the Spurs in a sign and trade. however, if we don't find a SG that requires more cap room than we have now, I can live with Big Al for a final year.

summer league could tell a lot. is Moore ready to get some minutes at 2? is Holiday good enough to get the 2nd unit minutes at 1 pushing CoJo to 2nd unit 2? is one of the wannabes good enough to stick at the end of the bench?

I don't really think we need another big, but it's a possible buy low opportunity.

I've been thinking that could be a really good 2nd unit set of guards.

Randle makes way too much sense on your roster IMO. I get that people like guys that can hit threes, but Randle is very effective and you have two great stretch 5's.

If shootings the goal he’s definitely a solid option.

He’s a bit old, though.

He got a 2 year MLE with a player option on the 2nd year.

He's going to be a good pickup for some team, but I think we'd be better served just letting Leaf play and having a vet min guy like Booker as an emergency 5th big.
