Game Thread 03/05: Pacers vs. Bucks

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Mon Mar 5, 2018 3:23 am

They're probably looking for revenge after their loss on Friday. Hopefully the Pacers can hold them off one more time. It's another important game for the standings. The Pacers are only half a game behind the Cavs now. Pass them, and maybe it'll be time for some people to start taking this team a little more seriously.

Bucks beat Philly Sunday overcoming big deficits twice. Booker should dress. DC unlikely.

Thankfully, the Bucks will also be on the second night of a back to back. Giannis put in a lot of work against the Sixers tonight so hopefully he’ll be just as tired as Oladipo.

Probably the other way around. :P
This is the worst team Lebron has ever played for threads coming up

yup, lots of what's wrong with the Cavs talk coming up unless they rally. love that we have the tie breaker on them.

Looks like DC has been officially ruled out.

Very important game. Pacers win - and they create a much needed distance in the standings. Separation between the #7 and #8 seeds in the East. Only one question will remain: where Pacers will land between #3 and #6. Pacers schedule is very tough, but, my position in life is simple - let them worry about playing us. Pacers win today and they can completely focus on having a home court advantage in the first round. Home court advantage in the first round - much better chances of advancing forward. For a new, young team every game in postseason is irreplaceable. After all is said and done, during the summer and early fall, guys training individually will be extra motivated knowing that they missed just a little to achieve much more. If team exits play-offs embarrassed with just short 4-5-6 game stint in the first round - off-season suddenly becomes much longer.
About this game? Everybody understands the importance and value. I expect fans to be intense and motivated even before the tip-off. Players? Pacers players already proved to the whole world that they are for real. Bucks are good, but they should be better. Antetokoumpo is a force of nature. Besides him? Bledsoe is alright. And nothing much more. Grandpa Terry already used his quota for the season of impossible shots. Bucks "bigs" are dreadful. Only one guy who is dangerous in the paint is Giannis. So what's the plan? Buckle down defensively, push the pace, terrorize Bucks in the paint. Hopefully Domas could do some demolition on Bucks twigs inside.
Most important thing - if fast offense doesn't work, be careful with the rock, no turnovers, wait and execute till the good shot.
We will know the answer pretty soon ;)

Should get a look at Booker tonight and they might need him since that tough game last night.

Don't know how official this twitter account is, but for what it's worth...

Read on Twitter

He was initially ruled out till the road trip is over so does that mean he’s back now?

Doesn't appear that way. CoJo getting the start again. Everything I read after the surgery happened said that 2-3 weeks was a very optimistic estimate for that kind of procedure. I wouldn't expect to see him back "any day now." I'm sure when he's ready, we'll hear that announcement.

I think the offense looks better when it isn't just Oladipo attacking the basket. Bojan does it some, but CoJo and Lance especially both need to get there too. It makes things a lot more difficult to defend.

Yeah they probably want to get him some practice time. As long a our guys stay out of fault trouble he won't see the court today.

Vic loses the ball too much. when he figures that out, we'll be much better.

That long three by Lance and then his block right afterwards on the other end to close out the third quarter was freaking awesome.

Return to Indiana Pacers
